He added a period after htm so remove that and the link will work.

Feedback would be cool I haven't installed my short shifter yet so I could do both at the same time. They're only 30 bucks.

I'll end up getting them if the feedback is postive, is upgrading the bushing in general worth it?

"I'll end up getting them if the feedback is postive, is upgrading the bushing in general worth it?" Only if you like smoother shifting. lol

Yeah, these things are usually a nice upgrade. They won't make the car any faster, but will make shifting feel more precise. This is probably a good mod to go along with a short shifter.

I've had the TRD shift kit and they had really nice metal bushings for the housing. I took the TRD out and went with the TWM. The TWM is awesome with shortness of the shift, and the really aggresive height on the stage 2. I do notice that the TRD you could really pull into second gear really hard and it didn't move around as much as the stock unit with the TWM.
Before I order from a company for $28, I am going to see what the hardware store may have to offer.

Well I got them in on thursday and I installed them today it wasn't bad at all. If you have a intake disconnect it and it will make your life a whole lot easier. Like hpower said it didn't make the car any faster but u feel the difference when you're shifting.

Hi guys, I am not a vendor, so I cannot sell you products on scion life, but the toyota bushing kits do fit the scion tC.

I was over at my friend's place this past weekend, he has a tC, and was installing a SS ShortShifter and we put some of the speed-source cable bushings on his car and they worked out well! They really keep the feel of the shifter tight and precise in shifting, something stock rubber bushings cannot do ;)

yes, when we installed these on my buddy's tC, it made things a LOT easier to take off the intake box... it is a very easy process anyways, just a couple clips and hoses

If you have a CAI you dont even have to remove that to put these on. I slid my fat hands down there and swap'd em out

Great Mod for the money!

Now make motor mounts for our car! The tC is in need of some poly mounts! You have a huge market waiting for em!

less then 8minutes. Its super easy, the only hard part is pushing the c-clips back in but I used the end of pliers and pushed them on, or if your all brolly you can use your thumb..

Okay, I just went to the site and there is the cable bushings like above, then next to the cables bushing are the shifter bushings. Has anyone tried the shifter bushings? not the cable. Confussing as hell.

Yea the base bushings came solid with my TRD shifter, its very nice and precise.

Yeah just to clear things up...

Shifter BASE bushings go inside the car - at the base of the shifter... they mount it firmly such that you do not have the play and pull associated with the all plastic mount.

Shifter Cable bushings go in the engine bay - and replace the old rubber cable bushings, which tend to fall apart over time and create imprecise shifting :)

I don't have a picture on this computer - but basically right under the intake box - it is helpful to remove it :)

after you take the box off - there is 1 horizontal bushings, and 1 vertical bushing - you will see them

best of luck!

I installed the cable bushings about 3 weeks ago and I love them! The feel is definately more solid. With the stock bushings, when the car is in gear and you push the shifter farther you can feel it move maybe a quarter-half inch (the rubber is squishing). With the brass bushings, there is virtually NO give and it feels like the shifter hits a brick wall rather than a pile of SH**.

Best mod I've ever gotten for under $30.

Got them last night. I just installed the shifter linkage bushings. Took about 10 mins since I have an Injen intake instead of the stock air box. Simple install.

Man is there a huge difference in shifting. I already have the TWM stage 2 shifter, so this was more icing on the cake!!!! Seriously awesome feel for $30 bucks. And it came really fast. Very impressed with Speed Source.

The bushings fit perfect and make me grin big every time I shift. I've had em on several toyotas and have never been let down.

heres the tC stock shifter cable bushings. you'll notice that the lower one is extra squishy because of the cuts in the rubber (i could see this one wearing out much quicker than the other)

i'm so happy i replaced mine, it feels much better

I literally just installed the cable bushings about 15 min ago. Took less than 10 min to install (I think removing the intake wouldn't be worth the time saved, since that's a PITA as it is). Definitely noticable and more precise shifting. Worth the $20-something upgrade.
