I wanted something that I could still use the cargo area. I ordered this enclosure from quarterwave designs.They built the enclosure volume to specs and it fits perfectly. They did a fantastic job and my subs sound better than ever!

What PUNCH series is that?? I like the concept of that enclosure and having that top shelf for protection.

they are stage II single voicecoil 4 ohm I can't believe how much harder they hit now!

how does the piece on top affect the frequency responce? how about efficiency?

the response is great, it actually sounds better with the cover on. The guys at QD said it would have a dampening effect. I had to turn the levels down from where I had them before because It was so much louder.

no, I had to take out the spare and storage box, but with the 17's I have on the spare would have been useless anyway.

 

that's sick! where do you have the amp installed? I think I might have to do something like that with mine now.

Don't fotget to keep a can of fix-a-flat in the car. everything loosk good.

Sounds like a company I would like to do business with. Thank you very much for sharing your pics and educating me on what my options are as far as the cargo area is concerned. I have already removed the storage box and spare tire and have replaced those with 3 amps and a cap which are hidden in a custom box under the stock cover. My subs sit on top of the stock cover which makes the cargo area virtually unusable. But something similar to what you have done should make my life a lot easier and still keep the sound system intact.

looks great.....I have somethning like that but my amp is flush in the back and the sub is under the front seats, and I have 4 kids so the space is critical. Great job!
