Default s-pipes and cels

I was just wondering if an aftermarket spipe such as creative compacts or zpi would solve the cel problem caused by the headers. I believe i heard this numerous times but never for sure if its certain. I just baught a creative compacts s pipe think it will get rid of the cel? whats every1's experience so far?

I havent done mine yet but i'm sure it wont get rid of the cel since its cause is the removed precat in the stock exhaust manifold. You'll still need some type of antifouler to get rid of that light.

i heard that on certain s pipes like creative compacts and zpi that they relocated where the o2 sensor is suppose to go into therefore not allowing the sensor to get as much airflow.

On some tc's the antifoulers and o2sims wont' work. I had to relocate my o2 sensor behind my cat in the midpipe.

I know of a few tc's. After I installed my header before I kept getting cel and contacted ZPI Racing about getting there o2 sim and after trying two diffrent ones and talking with them they told me they have had tc's it didn;t work for either. I have a laptop and datalogged a stock one and mine. I then tried several combinations of antifoulers but didn't work the best I have gotten 250-350 miles with the antifoulers. My setup now I have went 1,000miles on it and no cel.

Why dont you just explain it here..because am very interested in this setup....i am curious if you did it yourself or had a shop do it....and what did they charge??

I am planning on getting the draxas header and would like to relocate the o2 behind my high flow cat...is this something that an exhaust place can do fairly easy and not too expensive??!!??

Fill all of us in....otherwise PM me too please!!!

Thanks

I should have pics soon. Basically I have an alphawerks header, ZPI Racing downpipe o-2 sensor hole plugged with a m18-1.50 oil plug, ZPI Racing Midpipe with Magnaflow 43036 OBDII CARB Certified catalytic converter and Magnaflow 12646 Resonator, and Injen SES Exhaust. The cat has a o2 sensor bung built in the rear of it.

Thats the link for the cat its the second cat picture. I took the stock sensor cut the wires extended them by 25 inches I believe. I soldered the connections together and used heat shrink. I then used plastic wire loom to protect the wires. Over the plastic wire loom I bought some heat resistant (foil style) hard wire loom the wrapped over the plastic wire loom with the foil style loom. I used plastic zip ties to hold it on. Its hard enough were you don't need any ties I just used them, The foil loom is actually hard enough to form the way you need it to route and stay in place. If you have any questions I will answer them. I will be posting pics when I get a hold of a digital camera.
