hey. so i finally got my carbon fiber lip kit from street concept and i must say it looks great. now i need to slap it on and need to know where to get some automotive quality double sided tape. i tried the local auto parts store but they don't sell a big enough roll of the stuff and i'm not even sure exactly which kind i need. any ideas? i want to have it on by monday so any help would be appreciated.

well - the roll i get is small but when i get it i get outdoor double sided tape (its red) from home depot. Its used for things in the rain or temp. changes. It holds better then anything else i have tried.

i was told that kind sucked. i want to get the best one possible so i don't lose my kit in the wind or have to do it again in a few months.

oh - you are "only" using tape to put a body kit on with? can you do that? .... i thought you were using some kind of mounting tape then screws

i'm using screws too, but i'm just really careful when it comes to anything that has to do with my car.

the tape i have works great - should hold more then enough without question. I use it for anything I need doubleside tape for. Just get the outdoor roll - thats the important part.

The 3M red package tape works great! It's almost like putty when you put it on. I've used it to mount all my cold cathodes and you would have to use a knife to get them off. It's available at Home Depot, Lowes and even Pep Boys has it.

Good luck!

That red tape 3M stuff also comes in various widths so get as wide of stuff that fit you application. Clean the area really good with 91% rubbing alcohol and be very careful to get the positioning exactly right.
