Default lexus motor

i just got 2006 bsp tc, im not quite satified with the power, i ran a 14.2 on the 1/4 mile.... kinda dissapoiting i was hoping for 13's stock. i was thinking maybe i could swap a lexus gs430 motor into my car, and maybe even twin turboing it if i have the cash. what do you guys think?my friend said the swap should be pretty straight foward, im kinda worried about the wiring tho... thanks in advance for the help

if the v6 camery/solara/lexus 1mzfe can be crammed into an MR2, reason would think it could work on our car. I say you buy a 00+ 1mzfe engine and be the guinne pig!

what do you have done ot your car that you're running a 14.2?

IF you are actually running this time, with the amount of power you have, you will be able to hit 13's with better traction.

You could give this car 500WHP, and itll run the same times as it did when it had 250WHP, simply because of traction.

I would say upgrade your suspension, get some really sticky tires and practice your launch.

as for the swap...
its not going to be simple. the tC's engine bay is very small and crammed as it is. It would also throw the weight off in the car even more. With the amount of money involved switching motors and twin turbo, your car will probably cost somewhere near double or even triple of what you paid for it.

And in that case, you should have bought an Audi RS4 <3

14.2 is NOT a naturally aspirated time. Sorry... we're not this fast yet.

This should be moved to the FI forum, and that's even really good for an S/C tC.

if you "were expecting 13s" go buy a ____ing lexus, i swear people keep thinking this is a race car, well guess what, it's not. the tc is not a ____ing race car, it's an economy coupe just like the honda civic, i don't see stock civics run 13s. buncha whiny pussies, just enjoy what you got or trade for what you really want. hell i really want a 98 supra fully loaded, but i can't pull $38000 out of my ___. i bought what i could afford and offered enough of what i looked in a car in general.
