Default buying a new tC...

I'm finally doing it, this week I'm going to the dealer and ordering a tC! This will my first new car purchase and I have a couple of questions. First, does the Del, Proc, and Handling fee (that shows up when I'm building my car on scion.com) include all fees (title & license) except for sales tax? I know you can't negotiate on the price of car, but can you negotiate on accessories or is it simply better to buy online?
Since I am a first-time new car buyer, I would appreciate any advice and/or tips that anyone might have. Thanks!

Welcome... and congratulations...

Accessories: no negotiations usually - dealer choice I suppose. I wasn't able to even get the floormats thrown in, but some people have gotten a few random things. But it's better to get them online anyways, there are plenty of sites here that we can direct you to for OEM and non-OEM accessories.

That all being said... we have kind of a "welcome" thread stickied here. I'm going to lock this one and direct you there...

there is no negotiating on anything to do with scion, what you see is what you get. tax and title are based on state, so no, it is not included on the scion website.

as for buying accessories...

let me put it this way...

Lets say you buy the floormats from the dealership at the time of purchase for the car, and they are 100 dollars [lets just say].

Let's also say that you financed the car over 4 years.

Those 100 dollar floor mats, will soon become 170 dollar floor mats due to finance charges.

My personal suggestion...

DO NOT FINANCE any accessories that you do not have to.

I can understand if you finance a lip kit, simply because you do not want to pay to have it installed later on. But for simple things like floor mats, and *****, there is absolutely no reason why you cannot go to the dealership the next day and pay in cash, or better yet, go to trdsparks or mcgeorgeparts and get the accessories for even cheaper.

But then again, i guess this is how toyota makes money.
