Ok let me first start of by saying great site!

I have been looking at the Scion for a few months now and have desided to take the plung :D So I went to the dealer this past weekend and now i am in more love then i was before. They had 4 xBs on the lot but all where automatic. I am in the market for a manual. Now my question is.

I am 6'5" I fit in the cock pit just great, but not sure of clutch location and if it would be an issue with my knees hitting the steering wheel. I have the money to make the deposite to get the xB ordered. But fear Ill have issues.

Are there any other tall drivers out there with a MT xB?

6'2" And no problems with the clutch and my foot hitting the wheel. Having the lady look for something in your pants while you are driving may be a problem though if you know what i mean

you have to understand that the clutch's range is about as far as the gas pedals... not very much. its not like most cars ive driven where i have to sit pretty close to be able to push the clutch all the way in. Also, you sit more upright, like if you were sitting on a bench.

Just get the manual, imo its the only way to drive this thing.

I am 6'2", I have an auto. but I find that my left leg is a bit cramped between the car door and steering wheel. But with all the extra head room and rear seat room, I can't complain.

im 6'2 and i've only had my xb for a day but it does seem just alittle cramped in the legs but its probly just becuase i have to get used to it. I was driving a camaro before this and your almost laying down in that car so im guessing i just have to give it a couple days to grow on me.

Okay, This question really confuses me.

If Jynx has time to go to a dealership to check out an automatic, why NOT check out a manual as well?

If they don't have one, then why not just head over to a dealership that does? I think that'd be the easiest method of answering this query. If he doesn't want to head to a dealer that doesn't have a manual, call ahead!

You really just have to get used to it. Tou're really more upright in this car, like a bus driver. It'll be fine don't worry.

I am also 6'5 and have absolutely no problem driving the manual xB...it has more room than you could ever need.

I'm only about 6'1" but my left leg rubs the armrest right where the window buttons are. Makes me crazy. On the other hand this is the only car I've driven where my right leg doesn't bang the center console.
If your right leg doesn't whack the dash when you back off the gas on the auto, doubt your left leg will from using the clutch.
Buy and don't worry.
