CHICAGO: Subjects needed for Voluntary Research Study

Latino Family Services, P.C. (my dad's specialized counseling agency), Dr. Gene Abel, and Georgia State University Department of Psychology are conducting a study titled: VRT and Behavioral Frequencies of Community Volunteers

Male and Female volunteers are needed to participate in a research study on attitudes and behaviors related to the sexual abuse of children. We need to know how regular people from the community, who are NOT sexually abused children, complete a questionnaire and rate non-erotic pictures. These results will be compared to the results of people who have sexually abused children. Your answers are completely confidential and will be used to help protect children from sexual abuse.

* Complete a computerized questionnaire and rate non-erotic images
* Takes approximately 2 hours
* Totally confidential
* Earn $30 for participating

To be in the study you must:

1- Be at least 18 years of age.
2- Have never sexually touched (molested) a child.
3- Have never been accused, charged, or found guilty of a sex crime.
4- Be able to read English.
5- Have never been hospitalized for an emotional or mental condition.

This study will take place at both Latino Family Services, PC locations on specifc days:

TUESDAYS and FRIDAYS
825 East Golf Road
Suite 1133
Arlington Heights, IL 60005

MONDAYS and WEDNESDAYS
30 North Michigan Avenue
Suite 950
Chicago, IL 60602

the researchers are looking for a sample size of at least 2000 volunteers, so we got the ok to post this on here to reach a large audience

to better answer questions about scheduling for this survey

we will work around your work schedules
additionally, new dates have been added to each location.

Chicago -- Mondays and Wednesdays
Arlington Heights -- Tuesdays and Fridays

for female participants, there will be a female counselor conducting the survey.
