Default INJEN CAI + TRD Sports muffler!

well guys i have to say if youre looking for an increase in speed and searching for a great racing sound that isnt too loud but just right then you HAVE to go with the INJEN/TRD combo. i just had mine installed and i think its perfect. the sound of the intake roars and the trd muffler is just great. ill post pics up asap, also sound clips. anyone else using INJEN cai with different exhaust besides TRD? with any comments

I'm getting ready to buy the TRD exhaust and run it with a K&N typhoon CAI.

I would really like to hear a sound clip.

ive been thinking about headers, and i think if you get the right kind then it will improve the sound. it all depends on the company.

^hey i also have the TRD exhaust and am really thinking about getting the INJEN CAI...But want to know how much horsepower does it increase and how does it sounds with the TRD exhaust... You have any sound clips so i can have an idea?

One other MAJOR issue Is the INJEN highway usable? Or is it for OFF road use only? IF its not usable which intakes are highway usable?

well i think the sound is great, and ill try to get a sound clip as soon as possible. about the highway use. i drove about 2 hours straight on the highway with the intake and its holding strong. If you're going for horsepower increase INJEN is your best bet

I think he meant if it was street legal or not. No this intake is not carb exempt but its nothing i'd worry about.

Default TRD/INJEN

I'm running the TRD exhaust with the Injen CAI and I think it's awesome. It's not overly loud but sounds great, sounds the best at 3K+ RPM.

Just a warning.. "IF" you are considering a header... you should know ahead of time that it will sound like crap.. raspy (alot of resonance) and loud....... i have the TRD axle back and i agree it does sound great... i had to put the stock axle back, back-in because it was just rediculous when i installed the header... im working on getting something put in to try to get ride of the rasp and maybe drop the db's alittle so i can run the TRD exhaust again..
