I'm in the market for springs but doing a search i'm still a bit confused about a couple things.

I do like the idea of going a bit lower then average...but here in the NorthEast (NJ) we get some decent snow. is the 2-2.2" lower stance in the front too much for our winters? The rear of my XB sits slightly lower then the front. I've noticed that some of the manufacturers have taken this into consideration and some haven't. I'm basically looking for an even smooth ride with a slightly firmer rate in turns. Trying to smooth out the bumpiness yet get a little bit lower stance. I literally just got the xb 2 days ago...the rims on there now are a Rota/Machspeed 17x7.5 with 45 offset with 21-45-17 yokahma ES100's. I needed to grind down the manufacuring round circle on the lower rear arm so the rim wouldn't touch. I noticed that if you have an 18" and above rim your rim doesn't hit this spot...seems to be a 17" rim with my offset. As you might have noticed my 45 series throws off my speedo a bit because of the taller tire...so my xb is a bit up in the air. My concerns are...being a bit "lifted i could use the 2" drop but come winter time i'll be using the stock rims and tires. the NF210 Tanabe seem like the way to go if it weren't for my taller tire. It appears that it would even out the XB and the reviews i've seen are very positive. The goldlines are getting great reviews as well but are 2" front and 2" back. I almost wish it were 2" and 1.7" or so for the rear. The DF210 Tanabes are a bit stiffer but the reviews claim a great ride....but now i'm wondering about the front drop being 2.2 and our winters.

Suggestions from people with the same concerns or have these products? I'm ready to purchase 3 sets between myself and 2 other xb's.

it was dark out....but this might give you an idea.

it wont really help much but I live in Western mass where we get a ton of snow so I ordered the s-techs so it was not 'too low' for when the snow comes.. I found out we are moving to florida late this summer so i am going to return my s-techs and get some df210's because they are the bit lower.. I think getting the 1.5/1.7 will help you out some when it starts coming down so you can atleast drive a little rather than plowing the streets

also you can just swap them out if you want as the seasons change which would be free if you could do it yourself and still fairly inexpensive if you have to go to a shop..

anyway good luck.
