We did get to do runs for free at the late fall show last year. I'm not sure if we will be doing that again or not. I'm sure Mark will respond though.

If the strip is open to us and you DO want to make a run, BRING A HELMET! I'll bring a couple of extras, but if you have one, bring it. It was required to make a run last time and there weren't nearly enough to go around.

The place is easy to find. take 70 east past the stadium exit off at Noland Rd go south - travel for several miles (looks like a rural county rd) then out of the blue a dirt road with a sign that says KCIR on the left.
For some of you coming from out of town thats one way to get there. You can also access it from somewhere in Lees Summit but not very familiar with that route.

NO Pre-Register needed......just show up. 12 noon....we'll kick it off. First 25 Scions in the gate get in Free!!!!!! Tell Them I am in a Scion and what number am I? If you are the first of 25, you get in Free. Your passenger will have to pay but you get in Free. I believe entry is 10 bucks per person.
Every Participant gets a 1 of 50 dash paque. Henna tatoo artist to be on site to get you a new stain (Scion Logo?). DJ Spinnin Tunes. Tons of Giveaways including Generation II of the Scion Beanie (Just in time for Summer). Snacks/Red Bull/Refreshments. Over $1000 (One Thousand Dollars)to be given away in Pre-Paid BP Amoco Gas Cards in car show!!!!!!

As far as voting.........I say "let the people vote". Many want Judges but I am afraid of having to find quality unbias judges....so we will have the people vote unless someone has a better idea as I am open for ideas.

The only bad thing with allowing the people to vote is it turns into a popularity contest. The ones that know the most people or have the most friends there generally win.

To find unbiased judges you can do what I am doing for my show in June. I found a local car club (VW) that didn't have anything to do with anybody in the club but me and I'm not entering.

Oddly enough, that's really not true. The last time we had this thing, it really didn't matter who was the most popular. The democracy we set up was actually pretty efficient.

Cool, I hope it works and no one goes home mad...lol.

I'll have fun regardless.

Mark, if you like, I would be happy to judge for you. I believe that I could do it in a fair and impartial manner. If we go that route, I just won't enter the "show". Perhaps Horberg and Mo would be willing to do the same.

That would get us away from the popular vote thing which I don't like simply because it causes hard feelings afterward usually. Although I DO like a dance off...

yeah, why not have dealers do the judging. I don't mind not participating in the car show, although I know darron hates not being able to participate! I wouldn't mind doing it.

what if you had a judges pack for some people who volunteered and then you selected them based on an application. you could select someone from each division of participants to avoid favoritism(i.e. clubs/regional area), and let some people who havn't done alot to their cars get something for coming, but still have the people who are there to compete get a chance to win with a non biased vote?

get it? base model scion owners can judge and get something, modded up scions can be judged and win stuff, everyone is involved and as long as the votes are coming from percieved different areas/clubs, no one can be upset(as long as everyone is represented) and everyone is happy.

btw, how about the best club representation? obviously scinergy kc would win, b/c it's their home turf. but what about a traveling trophy for the KC region events where the most members of a certain club gets a cool trophy for showing up? It might be a good way to up attendance.

First 25 Scion Vehicles into the gate, the driver and vehicle get in free. Gates open at 8am. First 50 Scion to register for the show at the Scio n tent get a Dash Plaque.
12-4 pm is the Scion Car Show. Look for the 2 large black Scion tents next to the concession stand.
Here are the Scion Show Award Catagories:
1. Best Presentation
2. Best Of Show
3. xA Best Of Show
4, xB Best Of Show
5. tC Best Of Show
6. Best Rims
7. Best ICE (In Car Entertainment)

I have 4 independent hip judges planning on starting the judging at 1:30-2pm. ALL CARS WILL BE JUDGED!!!! CLEANLINESS IS KEY!!!!!
