View Full Version : Turbonetics TC- My VICTIMS so far, 2-DAYS after install
TCTuNeR80 02-21-2006, 06:48 PM 05 TC is now fully boosted and all i can say is WOW! Victims as of today have been,
99 Mustang GT mods=unknown 3 car lengths
06 Mustang GT mods=none came from behind, passed and cut him off =)
03 350z mods=Injen CAI (by far closest race but beat by 1/2 car length)
Overall i am extremely impressed, would like to get unichip tuned asap. Would really help everything. Suprisingly exhaust sounds great, 100% better than when i had my DC sports header! All that boost is actually scary for the first couple hours, i didnt really get on it till today when i had to take out the 350z. Any body else, i would like to know what you've beat, and what can beat US! Thanx
NEEDED LSD , High HP/TQ AXELS ??????
TCTuNeR80 02-21-2006, 06:58 PM I forgot to mention all of these were rolling starts, atleast going 10 MPH, b/c 1st gear is so insane with the turbo its almost useless at full boost. You've really got to slip the clutch to get anything going in 1st. Any question about the turbonetics kit let me know, i did install myself and it was cake. I would love to help in anyway i can!
mattssi 02-21-2006, 07:00 PM I'd love to see some ECU install pic's or instructions if you have it.
I love that setup - it seems flawless.
Great job on the kills!
Nick06tC 02-21-2006, 07:03 PM TcTuner I live across the bay up in Hampton, I would love to meet up sometime and check it out. I have a supercharged tC and work with a guy with a 350Z :)
TCTuNeR80 02-21-2006, 07:11 PM ECU install was Plug N Play, Take out # 1,3,5 and replace with UNICHIP PNP harness. So easy, took 2 minutes. Kit is flawless, especially the Raptor BOV, turns heads. As for Nick06tC i am going to Richmond today to pick up my wifes new SUV but maybe this weekend we can meet up and show off our setups and take a ride. I would love to ride in the SC and feel the difference, i would love to give you a ride in mine. Just PM me your number.
TCTuNeR80 02-21-2006, 07:14 PM HOW DO YOU PUT PICS ON HERE!
Mista3 02-21-2006, 07:15 PM I know that I'm no one of any real importance but I would like to stress, please don't street race and please please drive as carefully as you can. I don't need my insurance rates to get any higher.

good kills.. however a '99 mustang GT and a 350z should be pretty close in the quarter, maybe the 350z had more then just an intake.
TCTuNeR80 02-21-2006, 07:18 PM Well it wasnt really racing, they got BLOWN AWAY, but it was a controlled area, not just driving down the road in traffic!
TCpete 02-21-2006, 07:19 PM congrats you lucky bastard lol.. dont get boost happy. keep her chilling so the tc can last you a long time. thats my only concern about boosting my tc..longevity. maintenence is easy for me but its longevity that most concerns me.
are you running rich or lean? how much HP are you putting down??
Nick06tC 02-21-2006, 07:21 PM TCtuner, on saturdays, the local Scion Evolution chapter meets up at Denbigh Toyota in Newport News. It would be a great time to meet up. Let me know.

mtxgalant96 02-21-2006, 07:22 PM Hey TCTuner80 and Nick06tc, I'm in VB and have a Supercharged tC as well. Another turbo in VB, i see. Well I think you may be the only one, cuz my other friend got rid of his turbo tC. He has the ZPI stage 1. We should all meet up sometime.
I've ben having trouble with the reflash for some reason, and no one can figure out the problem, so I'm going with Emanage and tuning that way. I should be able to tune it better than the reflash and get alot of torque back and extra horsepower. We'll see though. See you fellas around.
TCTuNeR80 02-21-2006, 07:23 PM VERY RICH! Its the safe TUNE from turbonetics. I got to get this thing tuned! But i baby it, its kinda scary, the only time i really pushed it was with the 350Z, most of the time i shift at 5 at 3/4 throttle, its not really necesary to put it to the floor.
Host your pictures on http://server2.ihostphotos.com/indexm.php

TCTuNeR80 02-21-2006, 07:28 PM I didnt know Scion Evolution had a chapter here in VA. I'll have to check that out in Newport News! What time saturday. I would love to show up the Turbonetics.
To comment on the 350z, hes my friends, i know all he has is intake, but he really knows how to drive. And i was spinning, only getting about 85% traction. The Mustang didnt stand a chance, 350 is much much faster!
TCTuNeR80 02-21-2006, 07:29 PM PHOTOBUCKET let me go check on that right now! Pics SOON!
Try this.. it might be quicker..

TCTuNeR80 02-21-2006, 07:58 PM VIDEOS of TURBO tC vs. 350Z COMING within the next couple weeks!
DynomyteSW 02-21-2006, 08:03 PM seet good to hear about your turbo kit good luck with it
by the way it looks like your humping the down pipe in this
pic, i dont blame you
kwicslvr 02-24-2006, 11:34 PM I don't see you "blowing away" an 06 Mustang GT. Those run mid 13's stock. I would like to see a turbo kit that drops 2+ seconds off a tC. The 350Z and 99 Ic ould see since they are low 14 stock and even with the mods they are right at 14.
tC9o9 02-24-2006, 11:42 PM your one lucky dude...all i can say is put a grille in the bottom portion of you bumper...or paint the intercooler black(it doesnt affect performance or cooling)...and youll be a straight up sleeper..except for the BOV of course...also i think that you and nick should race....so we could see which is better...S/C or T/C...o ya that reminds me, you took tC to a whole new meaning now

This system with just bolting on, is capable of bringing you car into the mid to high 13 seconds in the quarter mile on 8.5 PSI. Our pass on 8.5 PSI was 13.8 @ 103mph with POOR traction. (The bone stock pass was 15.8) Let us remind you that some Lancer EVO 8s are running 13.2 @ 102mph. So with a trap one mph higher and proper traction, low 13's on 8.5 PSI is attainable.
Joe_Dezod has the video of the axle breaking fun. Maybe he will post it.
Nick06tC 02-25-2006, 04:12 AM I know he is fater than me or atleast he should be. Maybe it would come down to a racers race. But i wouldnt do it on the steeet. Hopeully he can make it out to denbigh tomorrow. So i can check it out, I know he has me beat.
kwicslvr 02-25-2006, 10:56 PM http://www.dezod.com/pd_dezod_motorsports_stage.cfm
So at 8.5 it runs 13.8 which is slower than the 06 GT. 11 PSI made only 20 more wheel horspower which would result in a .2-.3 gain in the 1/4 mile making it dead even with an 06 GT. Thus as I said. No way in hell did he "blow" away an 06 GT as stated.
rimjay2 02-25-2006, 11:12 PM 06 gt isnt that much to deal with. my friends stock 2000 audi s4 blew one away also. stock.
tC9o9 02-26-2006, 02:04 AM read what you just said out loud... AUDI S4
why do you think it blew it away
I would like to see a turbo kit that drops 2+ seconds off a tC.
I was just answering your question. Maybe if the tC would have some traction it would pull out on top, never know...
rimjay2 02-26-2006, 12:34 PM lol your right blackonblacktc
otaking 03-05-2006, 08:39 AM NEEDED LSD , High HP/TQ AXELS ??????
Why replace what isn't broken?
Kilo6_one 03-05-2006, 08:49 AM read what you just said out loud... AUDI S4
why do you think it blew it away
those audi S4 are a missile.....The new one should be even better then the last.
rimjay2 03-05-2006, 01:19 PM i think the last is better. the 2000 audi s4. its lighter than the new s4, plus the older s4 has a v-6 twin turbo, while the new s4 just has a v8. plus i like the older design a lot better.
tC9o9 03-05-2006, 06:47 PM v-6 tt in a small sedan = good
v8 in a small sedan = a force to be fuc$in reckoned with
05-RS1 03-05-2006, 06:57 PM what are the number's you are putting down? at what psi? whp, tq, 1/4 mile?
TcDepo 03-05-2006, 09:09 PM the older audi s4's v6 bi-turbos chipped are insanely ridiculous....so fast
