Default kenwood ddx7015?

Does anyone in here have the kenwood ddx7015, pioneer avh 7500, or the eclipse avx 2494, or any other headunit that has the whole dvd/mp3/screen package. Which one do u guys consider the best. I know it is cheaper to get everything separate but i want a all in one head unit for some reason. any input would be kool

ddx7015
awesome looking piece only drawback is it only has a 2.5 volt pre out, although it still sounds extremely strong when coupled with an amp. Another drawback is that you can only adjust tilt one way, so if you have a dash that slopes slightly upwards you might get glare, you can fix some of it with contrast adjustment but you can only do so much. no tv tuner

pioneer avhp 7500
not much bad to say about it but the price.

pioneer avic n1
Awsome piece they are still working the bugs out of it, drawbacks are that you can't use poi and only stores one route(nav features) while in nav memory mode. No tv tuner, and a cd/dvd changer is reccomended. no tv tuner

kvt 815dvd - nice piece haven't used it enough to find all the quirks. it fits better in certain vehicles. hate it/love it sliding mechanism. unit sticks out a lot when screen is up no tv tuner

kvt 915dvd - yet to install one at our location

I have the DDX 7015 and i love it; have an amp with two vizualogic screens and a kenwood 10inch sub.

The DDX actually has 6 tilt options and is off the heazy....if you do connect it with the screens you will have multiple output options and i think it has future ready options for nav, tv tuner and Sirius.

Also added a game port with inverted power for ac plug.

Hey do you have any pics? Does it fit really flush with the rest of the dash.. I was going to get seperates but honestly it seems to be more trouble than it is really worth and I would probably be best going with an all in one deal..

Also I hear none of these play DVD's while the car is driving (I have 5sp) is this true and if so is there a way to bypass it? I am not going to be watching flicks while I am driving but I have quite a few band DVD's I would like to be able to jam to while the passengers can watch them too.

just got mine and had them do the install that allows you to watch DVD's while driving also for all you other DDX7015 owners does the unit have a brain or box thingy that you plug in the video in or is it just three wires that connect to the back of the unit like what is shown in the manual. My unit does not sit flush with the rest but they did make two pieces for the side so there is no gap and if any one wants to host the picture give me your e-mail. And also is there any visual screensaver or eq thing or bubbles or anything other then the boring blue sky, Also I was reading the manual how do set up the head unit where if a phone call you the thing goes into mute.

It usually runs between $1000 and $1200 for teh head unit.

It's a nice unit, especially if you want all the options and don't want a flip out.

It probably needs the same grounding trick as all the other in dash TV's. It's easy, take the saftey wire and run it to a ground. Most installers won't do it for you as they could be liable if you wrecked and were watching it. But it isn't hard to do it yourself.

Actually, from what I've read, this HU isn't much harder to install then a normal, non-TV, HU. But it will need some trimwork to look perfect.

But if you want a all in one you should check the Kenwood 915 it comes with a 7 inch screen DSP 5.1 and TV tuner and more input outputs then then the 7015

is the 915 double din or single. what do most of the people here when they get a single din use to fill the gap of the other part. How much trimming would we be talking about for the 7015 and how easy it to rearrange the wire

The 915 is a single din, flip out, and runs anywhere from $1700 to $2300 from what I've been able to find on the net.

The DDX is between $900 and $1200.

As for how to fill in a single din....Depends. You can buy a kit that snaps in, you can make a custom trim plate or you can buy a single din pocket (CC and Best Buy sell them) to fill in the bottom. You'll probably want to do something custom though as single din flipouts rarely sit flush.

So is it better just to save my money and get the eclipse double din, the ddx, or the kvt 815 or 915
