I would like to know as well, But with a 7 1/2 inch width wheel. I have 215-35-18's and they look like a black rubber band wrapped around my 18's  ......

I know the feeling about the 215/35/18's. LOL

I saw an xB with 215/40/18's with a 2 inch drop and spacers in the rear. Looks really good, he also won 3rd prize at the xtremeScion BOXX RUN v1.0. He said they don't rub...

i know someone on this board running 215/40/18 in front and 225/40/18 in the back with a spy drop.
small rub in back, trim plastic in wheel well by the rear bumper - no prob.
small rub in front only when turing lock to lock, don't know if a lower offset will help.
i think is a really nice setup and plan on doing the same.

xbbox, if you do find out, please pm me in case I don't catch it. I now have 25200 miles on the box and the 215-35x18's are great but I really would like a softer ride which I think the 40's would give,
