Default Car alarms

I bought a viper 791 for my XB. I'm pretty disapointed in the alarm. I think the LCD screen is pretty cool bought not that accurate. The car on the screen is a coupe not a sedan so if sombody came thought the back doors it doesent show. The alarm is not loud. I have a clifford 450 on my prelude and its loud!!

Well the main concept of the lcd screen is to let you know when somthing is happening to you vehicle. When somone opens a door it lets you know, does it really matter which door, cause if some one is breaking in then they are breaking in and it lets you know. As for the loudness, vipers have loops on there sirens and if you cut them, the siren becomes louder. If that still dosent help try moving it so it faces a more open to the air location or get a second siren.

clifford (before Viper bought them out) had some really loud sirens. I really miss those alarms, a pain to the installer to put in but man what a good alarm.

Now my alarm does not work. only the remote unlock lock works. I have to take it to best buy tommorow so they can fix it.

It was not working because the installer did not ground the siren right.

I have the Viper 791xv installed, when I arm it, the beep is not loud at all, I can barely hear it to make sure it's armed? Is this normal, or is there a way to fix it?

The loop on the siren is for the chirp when you arm and disarm just cut the loop and your arm and disarm chirps will be louder. I think by like 15db
loop is thin black wire at siren where the red and black 18 gauge wires enter siren

Awesome thank you!! Will it make it much louder, or will it barely even be noticable?

PaRaGoNViCtiM when you cut the loops it will make it noticable, you will be able to hear the difference.

RedneckwithanxB which circuit did you take it to? I,ll call and harass them about it. You sure violentb didnt install it and break it, LoL.

The same can be said about any privately owned mom and pop shop. Pot, meet the kettle.
