Default TRD CAi is up for sale on Trdsparks.com

Ok, I hope that this has not been beaten to death already, but I just noticed that the TRD CAI was up for sale on the trdsparks.com web-page. Thoughts.

Also, because I live in Montana, Im hoping for a SRI setup (due to the weather).

I would like to know if the TRD SRI is going to be worth a damn, and if its going to have the high RPM air/fuel problems that some injen owners have claimed.

Thanks for your help

Sure, it's available... but would you want to spend $350+ on it?

Pick up an Injen (it's SR or CAI) for $220 or so and be done with it.

i think the trd piping is a bit smaller then the injen's..so it may cost more and still wont perform as well as injen's.

Are there any negative effects that the Injen CAI is known to cause? Does it suck up all the gas from your car? Does it break down easily? Does it do other bad effects to your engine or any other part of the car? How long does it last? How do you take care of it? As you can see I want to know as much about it before buying it.

err... o_O you supposedly get better gas mileage... but most people like to hit the gas even more after installing it... (which then... yeah.. haha.. mileage drops )

umm... don't know anything about breaking down... air flow is much less restrictive than the stock air box... and then the fact that it's not CARB approved may get you in trouble (that's a risk you take)

it lasts for a long time, and you only have to check the filter every few thousand miles to see how dirty it is, and if so, clean it. if you have any further questions you can pm me or hit me up on AIM.

What about the air/fuel ratio problems at high rpm with the SRI setup?
