So I picked up my HP Autoworks mid pipe last night. on first inspection it looks like a nice peice. It is made in a two part peice, so shipping would'nt cost a ton. The unit was built with great quality. It came with all the nuts and bolts and 3 exhaust gaskets. You really only need 2 of there nuts and bolts and that is to put the two peices together. The front and rear peices I reused the factory bolts.
After getting it on there which took longer to get the car up on stands and all that then it did to get the old pipe out and the new one on there. When I first started the car you could really tell it was louder. So I checked for leaks. None found so I got the car off the stands and washed up and headed out on the street for a little butt dyno run.
I will say this it is a hell of alot louder. Not so sure I am a big fan of that, but it still sounds ok. Keep in mind that I am running a DC header and axle back peice also. So as I get on it, it seems to get a little raspy but seems to get alittle better then it did. I know a true dyno run will only prove that. But it seems that the RPMs climbed faster or I was paying more attention to the exhaust then shifting..LOL... But over all I do like it. I called them last night and said that they might want to try a resinator in it to knock down some of the raspyness. It seems to be a very nice peice. Now I just need the S pipe and all the exhaust is done. I can only imagine what it will sound like if and when I do the SC. Here is a pic of the peice just before I put it on last night.

It is 2.5" and it looks like it retails for 289.00.

What is the easiest way to do a sound clip? I have never done one before.

alright now after about a week of driving it.. I really seem to like it. It is a little louder then I wanted but over all very happy with it. I cant wait to get the S pipe now and see what it really does. Then the exhaust will be complete from the header back. It was real raspy when I first got it but I think I had a leak in the rear section. I used the factory bolts and not the ones that came with the pipes. Well last night I switched out the bolts and that seemed to get rid of some of the annoying noise. Overall I like this peice. I give this peice 2 thumbs up.
