Default Best Xb Header

Im just trying to figure out what header is the best for my 06 Box. I Currently have the stock exhaust with the TRD sport muffler and have the K&N Typhoon intake ordered. I am now looking for headers as my next power mod and really dont know what would be best.

You wil get alot of opinons on what people think is the best header, i personally have the DC Sports 4-1. It is an easy install and its coated so you don't have to put the factory heat shield back on and you get a better look in the engine bay. So good luck with the choice and enjoy.

Megan racing, you can get them new on ebay for $125-150 shipped! Beautiful finish and good performance.

Like Proshop said, it is all preference. They all seem to free up about the same amount of power, so it really is whichever you like best. Weapon R/Monster Motor Works makes a 4-2-1 header and claims significantly higher gains than any other header on the market. But there has been a lot of contention to their claims, as well as questions of quality.

Beware of cheap ebay headers as well. The old adage, "you get what you pay for," still rings true. If you do decide to go with a less expensive header, just confirm the return policy with whoever you buy it from. Inspect the welds, bends and finish very carefully and return the header if you are not satisfied.

The most common headers around here seem to be the DC (ceramic coated) and the Strup (Stainless). Pretty much a safe bet when it comes to quality and performance, but also a little more expensive than other options out there.

i would have to say Alpha Werks 4-1 headers just cuzz i have em haha.......

but um IMO i would have to say any header is better then the OEM cuzz when i took mines out it looks so cheap haha but thats just me.........

i was told that the Alpha Werks headers were a copy of the Strup...there both stainless.........but then again any stainless is better then the oem headers IMO.

i read somewhere in the forums that the DC-S headers on ebay do not have the holes for the two bottom bolts on the head but that may just b just that one and that the OEM spring bolts for the cat/header does not fit and you have to find some that will......but ether way the guy who bought the DC-S headers was still pleased with his product

Personally I would go with DC Sport or Strup headers. DC Sports are nice, but are silver coated which look alright, but the stup headers are chrome plated and are exactly the same technology as DC Sport. I heard that a former employee of DC Sport is the one that started Strup. www.strup.us and they are about the same price.

Does anybody make a 4X2 header for the 1.5L looking to do duals with 1 1/2" pipe.

they don't have the 4-2 header. what you will have to do if you want to get your duals now... the 4-2-1 and have your shop cut right on the 2-1 weld and then re-weld right onto your 1 1/2 pipes. either that or full blown custom
