Default megan header & temperature on guage

ok, so i've had my new header on for about a week and a half now..Since i stripped the oem o2 sensor during installation, i replaced it with one i bought from parts train...I was told that it wouldn't work, but i spliced and crimped the wires from the oem 2 the new one..it seems 2 be working just fine, i don't smell any more strange fumes like i did w/out the sensor..but i just so happen to notice my temp guage and it's in the high middle...I never cared 2 look at that guage b-4...is that normal??
