A CALL TO ALL SCION OWNERS

We need all Scion owners to pull together and help show a strong presence in our small town. Trophies will be awarded for 20 different catagories including best import and best mod. Free for all contestants: dash plaques, door prizes, t-shirts and a goodie bag. To all Scion owners who enter, Scion of Paris will be giving a Scion gift package. All proceeds from this car show will go to help support our local Meals On Wheels program which provides daily meals to the elderly and disabled. This show is sponsored by Guaranty Bond Bank of Paris and is scheduled for April 22, 2006 at the Love Civic Center of Paris ( 2025 S. Collegiate Paris, TX 75460 ). Entry fee of $50 for indoor space and $25 for an outside spot. Registation begins at 8:00am - 10:00am, judging at 10:00am - Noon, and awards will be presented at 2:00pm. Even if your not going to enter your car we would love to see you there for support. We look forward to a fun day for a good cause. This is on the same day as the Irving show. I won't be able to make this one. I know it is for a good cause, but I have already committed to the other one.

check the dates Chad this one is on the 22 of April and the Irvining one is on the 23, 2 shows in one weekend :)

If the weather's good, that should be a beautiful drive. I'll see if we can't send a car up there. Happy to support a fellow dealer and a good cause. Will check back as we get closer to the date.

Paris in the Springtime, sounds like a good cause. I may just be up for this.

I'm there for this cause. 2 shows in 1 weekend is fine with me.

Oh man, I'm going to the Scion Show 4.0 in KC the next day. :doh:

I don't know if I can make this one, that is a lot driving for one weekend.

3.5 hours to Paris and then 6.5 hours from there to KC. :eyes:

With all the traveling you are doing it would be wise. As for the local peeps we really need a strong showing for this cause. We will have more details later.

Hmm I like your new event name. This is really turning into a very good event and would make a great weekend for people that can attend this and Scion of Irving the next day. Ahhh living the Scion Life. We need to show some support because they are making a special Scion class in hopes of our participation and we can show them some DFW flavor. Chad is right I know there are some neat things in store, so keep watching for news.

Why did this become un-sticky'ed?

Probably the same reason the Asylum rollcall got un-stickied.
They have come to the comclusion that there are too many stickies.

Who makes this decision, what logic do they use?

the four of us (Ned, Me, Scott and Nancy) make the decision on stickies and announcements

and the logic is supposed to be that whatever is nearer to happening gets a spot in the sticky area. (the total sticky/announcment area shouldn't be more than 6/7). more and the purpose of the area gets lost.

We'll just have to keep bumping our threads until they are deemed worthy of being re-stickied. :P

People need to know that you must pre register before the show to get a spot. I know Chad emailed some of us the form but if you are interested you have to sign up and pay(checks only) to the address on the form. Chad or Mike how can we get this registration form to people? No registration day of show, which is weird but it is a chairity show.

i have the registration form too...i'm sure if they PM or email me, or Chad, we can get it to them...PM me for my email

Oh yeah the Scion class will be ouside, we will be a seperate part of the show and they want us to park together.

I think it said no garanteed spot if not paid and registered. I do know I got a CC of an email from Scion of Paris wanting all Scions parked together, cause we are haveing our own classes apart from the main show.

I noticed on Scionlife it looks like you guys are looking for something to do Friday night. There is a club that is one block from the hotels in town that is having a "Battle of the Bands" Friday night if you guys are interested. Not a lot of options in a town this size. It looks like there should be a good presence of Scion folks at the car show. I spoke to someone from Houston that is originally from Paris who is bringing one of the dealership units down to enter. Holla when you can.

I think we are all wondering who is going up Fri night, when and where is everyone staying? Jaz when can you leave Fri. I haven't made up my mind yet if I am going Friday. I just don't want to drive up too late and hit a bunch of bugs after dark.
