Drove 100 around the Texas Motor Speedway track. Could have gone faster but couldn't pass the pace car.

You know this is funny.... I have seen a couple of noobs get their post locked because they asked a question that had been asked a couple of times but this one didn't...interesting...plus I was not trying to be the "Forum Police" just trying to let the guy know that there is a Search function and it works really well, plus you forgot to add the part of my post where I gave him a link to the previous discussion AND :shock: :shock: I also posted my top speed :shock: :shock:

We have "T" speed rated tires. Don't go too fast. The Max, warrantied properly inflated speed for T-tires is 118MPH. Unless ofcourse you went to a higher speed rated tire.

I made it up to 100 while dispatching an unruly Civic one afternoon on my way home from a job interview.

85... I think... passing someone on I-10... and then back down to the speed limit. My RS is a cruiser, not a racer.

If a speed fix is in order, it's time to break out the SRT-10.

i've got a 5spd xA .. and anything above 85 is somewhat unbearable for me :( .. cuz the engine just screams cuz teh rpm is too high at that speed!!!

120 in my xb and as far as ive read at 120 a governer kicks in and says "what the hell are you doing going this fast" and wont let u go past 120 cause i was trying.

100 and I was out of road, anything over 80 takes forever. Big change from a car that started to pull hard when I hit 100. :/

105 and still accelrating but I got caught up in traffic. Usually 75-80 max but I wanted to try it out some. Fast enough for an econobox. I'll ride my bike when I want to go fast... 8)

why don't the mods just make this a sticky instead of locking it? that way people will stop asking all the time if they see it at the top of the page. If its a common enough question........ :wink:

done like 110, did 105 last night but luckily only got pulled over for 89 in a 55 zone, damn b.f.e. highways with cops on the prowl, i got pulled over in front of a double wide on highway 46 between the 101 and the 5 near paso robles, and he was squaking at his "old lady" that someone was driving a refreigrateor and got pulled over in it. i mean i know the highway patrol was doing his job, but he questioned if my car was too low, tired to tell me it was registered as a saturn, not a toyota and even tried to tell my girl she wasnt wearing a seatbelt. i got the ticket for 85+ in a 55 so im thinking itll be at least 300 to pay, plus i have to drive like 3 hours to go to court for the bull____. and the funniest part, it was uphill when i got pulled over, after passing a few bigrigs on the uphill stretch.

i would have to say that the fastest the XB can go is 107mph it took for ever to get it going that fast. but that that speed it was very stable.
