Default Does anyone have a Scion armrest?

My Xb is on order. The dealer did not have any of the armrests in stock to show me. I was wondering if anyone here has the dealer installed Scion armrest. I would love to see some hi res picts of it. Does it flip up out of the way? If so how far. I would love to see some shots of that if it does. My wife wil be driving the Xb a lot, and depending on where it sits and how it flips out of the way, it may get in her way for shifting (5 speed). We have a PT and she always has the seat mounted armrest flipped up and out f the way, becasue it interferes with her reach to the shifter.

Sorry I don't have any pics. But, I do have a Scion Armrest in my xB. With my seat all the way back it flips up so it is almost flush with the back of the seat. The only time I ever have to flip it up is when I have someone else in the car to release the e-brake. It never gets in the way of my shifting.
Hope that helps.

Thanks frosty. this is going to be difficult i think. My PT has seat mounted arm rests. They dont interfere at all with my shifting, but totally interfere with my wifes. she keeps the arm rest flipped up and out of the way. It sounds liek the scion one might work.

You might just ask the dealer if you can just set it in there and see how it feels. That would be easy to do. the way it fits in... That would have been smart to do when I did mine... I save all the good think'n for you I guess.

Yeah, I went with the scion myself. Its a good armrest for the $. Some of the others that i have seen seem a little expensive for an armrest. None of them seem to be any better and the scion one installs in 5 mins.

There is one thing bad about the scion armrest. It feel CHEAP! I love it and glad that I got it with the car, but it does feel like its going to snap off. Not like its hard to replace and order. Even though it feels CHEAP....its gone through alot and I still have it in my car. Haven't had to replace it yet.

Yeah, it's a little low, but still completely useable and useful.

My install took all of 10 minutes.

I have the Zeta 2nd generation armrest. I feel like it's of good quality. I especially like the solid seat-frame mounting it uses. You can adjust the angle/pitch of the pad. It also opens up for storage and has a rear mounted cupholder to the rear passengers.

It mounts to the front seat frame rails....very solid. It does not interfere with seat travel at all. The legs that support it are metal.

I like the fact it sits a little lower. Doesn't interfere with shifting through gears, but my arm can still rest on comfortably while shifting even after I installed my short shift kit. But then again, I'm only 5'8". If I over 6', I'd imagine it'd feel to low for any use.

I am at 6' and to be honest, I cant recommend the armrest if your tall. My elbow doesnt even reach the arm rest. I generaly keep it flipped up and rest my elbow on it, but this is leading to the material on the edge starting to look thin.

I have to flip it up to use the ebrake, but I dont leave it down unless I am hiding something between the seats
