Default you people are @$$#@(%$!!!!

Ok, not everybody, and of course nobody on here. But this does go out to all the people who drive too fast, wrecked, etc. Got this on my Insurance Bill recently...

The claim experience on your make and model of vehicle has resulted in an increase to your liability rating group for bodily injury and/or property damage coverages.

when we got the tC back in Oct '04 it was nice and low due to it being classified as a 2-door family car. *sigh*

anyway, no offence to anyone here, but a little annoyed that other people's reckless driving is affecting my insurance rates...

yeah.. in some states they go up.. some states they won't because it is illegal in some states to raise rates because of the general public or something like that...

insurance companies are all messed up.. location, demographics, etc play all kinds of roles. AAA was the cheapest I could find for me.. this renewal period those crack heads tried to raise mine to $2600/6 mo... complete retards!

Progressive used to be by far the most expensive for me.. now they are the cheapest. I am switching to them this week.. $950/6 mo for two drivers, two cars... barely more than 1/3 what AAA (american a-hole association) wants to charge me now for no good reason.

My AAA is $800 year. Don't make blanket statements. Insurance companies all have oddball ways of deciding who pays what. The same company can suck for you and be good for me...
That's why one must shop around.

Scott

PS - as for the dooshbags racing and wrecking, fsck-u. You ARE the ones to blame.

I just recently recieved a letter from state farm saying that it was adjusted again... I did recieve that first letter but it has gone back down a bit. My total change with a $500 deduct. was:
$91
$102
$97

If you are under the age of 25, call up state farm and tell them you are interested in the Steer Clear Program. You could save alot of money... but you have to have a clean record... Thank god for traffic school!

i have geico and my insurance did go up but that was only because i added some aftermarket stuff to my coverage, even then it was bearly $50. and at the beginning of the year when i renewed it, it went down more than $130.

So you saved $130 by switching to Gieko?

I was hit by a drunk driver that had Gieko and even with his revieving 3 tickets for the accident and the police report stating that he hit me... they still contested the claim.

It is now in court and I'm still waiting to recieve my $500 deduct back...

no, actually i saved more like $500 by going to geico.
i was gonna use the same place my parents use, but they wanted $1800. then i found geico and went with them. when i was renewing it at the beginning of the year, there was $130 less on the total.

not making blanket statements.. they are a-holes to me and I will gladly call them that. Raising my insurance to more than triple what I can get at other competitive places with no changes to my or my fiances record. Pure BS.. .and they wanted me to BACK pay on this 6 mo premium, even though it is already paid up, because they say it should have gone up sooner. Pure and total BS. Not only did my agent think they were crazy, but since I am dropping a month before renewal I am getting money back like I should cause there is no way I am back paying them .

I agree, the way insurance rates by demo, geography, etc is messed up, and what is horrible for one is great for another... like I said, progressive used to be more than double the highest competitor for me... now they are the cheapest...

That was my point - just used your post to make the point. IMO, all insurance companies suck to an extent. They all try to bugger out when you need them and when you use them, they destroy your rates.
I've been lucky - no accidents in 29 years of driving, but I've seen iot happen to others.

yea they do try and slink off when you need them.

some guy is sueing me for medical bills and long term damage for an accident i got into 2 years ago. and the insurance is sending us all these papers to scare us in to giving the guy a check.

well, we were fully insured when the accident happened so the guy can't sue us for money, and the insuance company gave him a check for over $4k at the time of the accident and if they didn't make him sign a release of further liability like they should have, then thats not our fault.
