Default Any info on 07 TC?

Mainly I am interested to know if the 07 will have a 5 speed auto like the camry.

Also what are the town/highway milages that owners are currently getting. I was disapointed with the 23/29 for the auto that the official has listed sicen the camry does 24/34 and is like 300+ pounds heavier

I doubt it the tC is deisgnd to be cost efficent. The cost of adding a 5 speed auto will jack the price up about another $500-$1000. Plus they have the tuner concpts tCs coming out. I doubt the 07 tC wont have much added since it will be its last year of production.

Well since the tc uses basicly the camry engine, and the camry got the 5 speed auto, it might even be more cost efficient to use the same tranny in the tc. The mazda3 updated its tranny from a 4 speed to a 5 speed in 06 with no cost difference.

I have been searching online for the Scion production cycles and cant find anything solid. I have read about "shorter" than average production cycles but nothing about 3 years. I dont always believe the material I read on messages boards so I have been SEARCHING on a larger scale.

I don't think anyone has actually confirmed the 3 yr production cycles. I mean, I think that was the original idea. But no one knows for sure as there really hasn't been confirmation.

As for the transmission.... the reason we get worse mileage is b/c the tC is geared for fun. The Camry is geared for lame.

I only have 3 post (now 4) because I just joined the group. I was not arguing, Im a month from getting a new tc. Number of post has nothing to do with it. I have swapped in JDM engines to american versions for years. I had to join sometime, Im sure there was a time when you only had 3 posts too. You are the type of person that ruins these communities for others.

Yeah, sometimes the "Use the search" thing is a tad rude and with new members, we should give them all breaks - they're here to be one of us!
BUT - had to be one, right? There are some just plain lazy folks out there, so there's a balance somewhere to be had.
Let's all be nice to one another - except when a tool starts a flame war, then it's gloves-off!
