Rear wiper rubs against glass and creates constant sqeek noise, when blade goes down. Tried cleaning windows, but will have to be looked into during next dealer service. Vehicle has only 3,500 miles.

sounds almost like it's scraping the glass.

Did you change blades or try rainx?

I don't think there is anything you can do about it. Since the wiper only has one speed it dries the window rather quickly. When the window is dried you get the same effect of a squegee running along dry glass. I think that is the squeeking noise you get.

Just remove it and plug it....mine never worked well........cjastacio has a good point about the drying.

look at this post http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=107709&highlight=

it doesn't do it the whole window. just when it reaches the bottom inc or so and it sounds like scraping no a squeege

If noise is caused by wiper blade chattering against the glass as it moves, try wiping blade several times with a soft cloth loaded with rubbing alcohol..this solved my problem.

This mod works the best...When it rains, doraemon jumps up and wipes my window for me. It's so quiet I barely know he's there.

I never found a hole plug that looked good enough.

The rear wiper makes too much noise! I just use rainX and have no problems.

The DON is right on. It stays clearer with the rainx and no wiper, than with the wiper by itself. ..and no squezky noises.
