Ok.. my ap tc has them and i wanna do a few mods that consist of either the seat or the seat belt pillar. I was told that they come out the seats so my seat mod went dead. Now i wanna know if they come out through the seat belt pillar??
Also, if they dont come out from either one where do they come out from? anyome have pictures or anything ??

yes they come out of the seats, a sort of bolster to protect your torso from being smushed by the door.. the curtain part comes out of the a-piller to the c-pillar and comes straight down, hence a "curtain"..
depending on what kind of wiring they had to have running up the pillar already.... IIRC, there isn't enough clearance because of extra sensor wires and whatnot going up to the curtain bag...

Aren't the seat mounted airbags a different option from the side curtain airbags? Either way, they come out of the side of the seat where it is flat, you can feel the mechanism, and you will also have the tag coming out of the seat saying SRS if you have the seat airbags.
When you order the extra airbag package, you get a side (fron the seat bolster) and a side curtain (from the top of the side windows)... IIRC, the wiring and whatnot for the side curtain bag is in the A pillar making it difficult to put anything else in there... B pillar (front seatbelt pillar) shouldn't be affected but I don't know for sure....
In the back seat, there is an airbag that comes out of the seatbelt top part area for rear passengers. In the front seatbelt pillar...there is nothing there for airbags.
The side impact options have the airbag come out of the front seat. literally tearing the fabric. When I got the Katzkin leather, I had to get the airbag option where the stitching tears out.
The front A pillar is also part of that side impact option. The front airbag is up near the top of the pillar. The pillar cover does NOT come off, it lifts up to allow the bag to pass and inflate.
If you do the A pillar pod, do not screw the pod to the pillar, use industrial velcro and attach a small cable to each of the gauge posts on their back and pull that thru with your gauge wires and fasten securely. That way, the gauges can't launch out of the pillar and smack you in the head.
Even if you don't have an A Pillar airbag, I recommend doing the small cable mod to secure the gauges in case of an accident so they become dislodged and fly around.
