What on a scion XB would you want made out of CF? i don't care if its the cup holders, the engine cover(cheaper and top top quality), panels, entire rear hatch lid, hood, fenders, bumper cover or just lips, wings, body kits, dash surrounds, door panels you name it. Look the xb over and tell me what you'd like done. I'm bringing my xb over to one of the top cf/fiberglass companies in the US to look it over and come up with ideas. We'll then retail them with very good pricing

a CF Gauge Cluster...

i was thinking about that myself already. looks like the gauge cluster is very doable.

I want to see if he can do a CF center console with a built in arm rest. My thoughts are that if possible lay it with lid in place....sell them with the top cut off awaiting a hinge. buyer wants fabric? they can have that done however they wish.

I think the whole center dash is doable as long as we keep it not looking spotty by doing a panel here and a panel there.

This is all based off what he's able to do or if he's willing to do alot. I'm hoping he'll do many things instead of just a panel here there , cf engine covers, hoods, lips etc.

We've already made a custom front bumper with wrx fogs built in...wait til you see how that turned out. Thats stock plastic/resin though.

2. a complete front clip set of panels, hood, fenders, bumper cover, grill, emblem, and cowl all as ONE PIECE, that flips forward, kinda like they make for CRXs & Honda Hatchs.
3. Headliner.
4. Complete Hatch, w/ removable Lexan Window.
5. Gas Filler Door, not just a vinyl overlay.
6. Speaker Box for the Cargo Area, that fits where the spare tire & stuff are, for 2-12"s or 3- 10"s

How about a CF glove-box door, while were talking about the obscure stuff.... :D

I think that the Thunder Cloud, Polar White, and Black, xB's would be a good place to market a mild (close to OEM) CF body kit. Somthing that they could just put on and it would look cool, no need for prep or paint. Same thing with a wing, close to OEM, mabye 10% more zing to spice it up, but somthing you could put on and leave gel/ clear coated.

I've applied interior and exterior kits to my BOP to brighten it up a bit. Silver wire carbon fiber externally and blue/black on the inside. I's gone through 2 summers now and one harsh winter and still looks new.

Thanks! I bought it last year after seeing an RS1 with an orange one. Lip sells them (see above). I got mine a year ago from edashkit.com. Back then the only folks selling them that I could find were edashkit or benevito.

The blue/black looks really good when the light hits it. The downside to the blue/black is that it is dark when there is no external light. I was torn between getting blue/blk or just plain blue. I thought just plain blue would be too bright. The blue/black matches the car better. They have many colors to choose from.

It comes with the kit. The Xb is cut out and there are chrome inserts to put in, nice touch. One thing to do is if you are planning on getting both the Xb door panel overlay and the full dash kit is to install the door panel overlay first. The full dash kit comes with rings that go around the door handle area. If you put those on first you won't be able to install the door panel overlay without taking the rings back off. I put the rings from the dash kit on top of the door panel overlay and they came out nice.

It doesn't even look that good on a dash, more like a little kid was let loose with a sticker pack. I mean, you get like 150 pieces to cover every little .005" speck of dash. To me, it just looks cheap. Look at a Ferrari or some other true sports car that uses CF. It isn't distracting, yet it is 100% useful, not applied OVER something. I must say, for all those concerned with a clean look, this CF thing is a bit out of hand. My $.02.

Actually, a real CF top dash & console would be sweet. Maybe even door panel switch plates made of CF, not an overlay. I think the doors and hatch are a good idea too, that would save a TON of weight. What about a CF panel to replace that carpet type material on the interior side of the hatch?

And no, I do not have any qualms about what I put on my ride. I must admit, people who think I should mod my ride to their liking do get under my skin (I do not add CF overlay or anything else for that matter to my ride for your approval, I add it simply because I like it!)
Carbon fiber overlays are NOT pointless, the point is to accent or accessorize.

1.) carbon fiber Halo headlights
2.) carbon fiber Altezza taillights
3.) those center grilles with the halo fog lights (tired of that ABS plastic crap)
4.) Wind Deflectors (those window channel things that are normally a black plastic)
5.) license plate hood
6.) carbon fiber wiper arms (think about it...that would be bad @$$!)
7.) yakima rack (might as well make it look nice on top of my box.) Poles and locking posts etc etc...
8.) carbon fiber Air Conditioning Vents
9.) Headlight / Windshield Wiper / etc control arms (replaced with a carbon fiber tube, sure it isn't much but those little details are what the judges look for at the shows...)

It it flows and doesn't stand out like a sore thumb, its cool with me. SCIONXB06 has carbon fiber!!! Ohh yeah, my helmet is CARBON FIBER. My ball bat is CARBON FIBER. I have CARBON FIBER ALL OVER MY BIKE!! This is what i'm talking about, CF with an actual use. IN MY OPINION, which i'm pretty sure i'm still entitled to have under the Constitution, thats what carbon fiber is for. Yeah, i'll admit, carbon fiber looks cool, WHEN IT LOOKS LIKE IT BELONGS, not when you have a dash, made of black plastic, and a random piece of colored carbon randomly placed like a zit on some kids face. It it flows and doesn't stand out like a sore thumb, its cool with me. I dont care where or how you use it, I just thought that taste had somthing to do with the placement, and from most of what i've seen with these 150 piece kits, it just looks out of place. A CF center dash looks good to me, i like that, but not when everything around it has "pieces" of carbon fiber around it and it just looks out of place. THIS IS MY OPINION!! I'm sorry if i'm offending you by having it, but at least respect it.

Well yes, I do agree that we defeated Hitler and the German Nazi's in WWII, if you want to disagree about that we can.

And about Bush, yes I do like his baked beans. I think the maple or barbecue are my favorite.

ScionxB06 my entire swing arm is also made of carbon fiber, if YOU wanna see I’ll send you some pics (hehe) but you have to promise not to show them to anyone else.
