So last night i was at my girlfriends house waiting for her to get off work. When she got home i wanted to show her my new shift knob . When i shut the passenger door I heard glass break. Walking around to the back of my car I noticed something odd. The BACK WINDOW HAD BEEN KNOCKED OUT....wtf. Some punk-_____ little kids around our neighborhood are doing it. 50+ cars in a few mile radius so far. They also egged my friends car a week ago causing egg shell damage to his paint at points of impact.
On the up side, no back window really cuts back on the cars drag. No more air-thumping sound either when the windows are down...

Okay I have to ask, I have had 3 tickets, and my most expensive one was $280, what did you do that could put a $500 debt on your record?

Witnesses in the car don't count in traffic court. But you don't have to let it end there. Go in, plead not guilty and tell the judge you do not want it handled there.
This, usually, moves it up to state court. Then you can cut a deal with the DA and get something a lot less and no points. He doesn't want to waste his time in court, with this, any more then you do. Also, a lot of juries are going to side your way as they've all been there.
In traffic court you are guilty until proven innocent. It does not work that way in state court. Unless they have it on film it is simply the cop, as a person, having his say and you, along with all of the others in the car, having theirs.
In traffic court though, the cop is always right and the judge will almost never let him admit to being wrong.
