hey... im looking to paint my engine cover the same as my car (black cherry pearl) and i know it would be hard and expensive to try and get a quart from the dealer so do any of you know a spray can or another alternative that looks like the bcp?

Well i don't think you can use reguler car paint on your Egn. Car paint can only take so much heat. Don't know what happens to car paint after the temp goes over what it can stand. Maybe it burns or maybe it peels off. My best bet is you go to auto zone or Advance Auto parts, pep boys, etc, and buy high temp spray paint. The can will say for engine use. What sucks you won't find BCP. Maybe you can find a kit or dealer that makes costum high temp paint.

just check out adv auto parts..they have high with standing paint...and look for a similar color..im sure u can get pretty exact... i have a post in the natural aspirations of my new short ram..and u can see my red valve cover

thanx but i already went to autozone and bought some car paint.... i think regular car paint will work... i mean if it doesnt get hot enough to melt the plastic, it shouldnt mess up the paint.....and the color i bought is almost exactly the same... its called "cherry red pearl"

i already painted the cover... it looks good and i used a silver pen to write the letters on there.... ill post some pics when i get my camera

can't wait to see the pic's. Hmmm you said engine cover. lol I thougt you meant the engain it's self.

ill try and post some pics tonight after i clean it.... the color is almost exactly the same, its just a little bit darker....
