Has anyone done big three in a tC?
Just wondering.
Pondered doing it tonight...then realized that my 0 gauge ring terminals don't like the stock battery terminals. Time to find my Knukonceptz ones.
Was wondering if anyone did it already...the big 3...not finding my terminals

Stock wiring for ground is a bit thin for people who are stupid w/ their audio.
Basically the big 3 would be the batt -> chassis -, batt -> engine -, and alt -> batt +. The alt -> batt only becomes necessary w/ larger alts
A lot of people will report a smoother idle and whatnot. For those of us who are just retarded though, it helps w/ the dimming

Ok, I figured thats what you were talking about, but didnt wanna sound stupid, haha.
I read somewhere that people were talking about getting better throttle response by doing this (since we have the electronic throttle), have any of you guys experienced that?? I figured its mostly in their heads but thought I'd ask you guys anyways...
And, how much did it help your dimming?

well.. i had a friend even test my car out without me telling him i had a grounding kit installed and he noticed a difference before and after... and yeah.. i felt a difference too in the throttle lag myself.... i had thought it was in my head too.. but alot of my friends report the same thing..

Taking the girlfriend to vegas for spring break, so I am too poor for upgraded batteries right now. Still need windows tinted first
I do have 40 feet of 8 gauge and lots of wires laying around so I may try it today. When I run the system LOUD it makes my speakers lose quality at a point... I know the best thing to do would be to amp them up. Would upgrading the ground wires help the speakers maintain quality at higher volumes with the subs hitting hard?
Also, can I add these wires without disconnecting the battery? Just unbolt, slide the terminals on, and rebolt? Looks easy because the negative is super easy access.

im actually in the process of doing it right now, just did my engine/alternator ground, next is batt ground.
for the alternator i just took it from the bolt on top, with the bracket.
id like to see how some one did the alternator to battery, or rather how they routed it and kept it looking clean. i was thinking running it back behind the engine near the fire wall, and back around to the battery, but i havent decided yet.
doing all of mine in 4 gauge. other than the 2 grounds of the big three, any other grounds any one think is important?

keep the ground wires as short as possible! Ground are notorious for acting as antennas and introducing noise into your electrical system. So no, do not run it all the way around the engine against the fire wall and then to the battery. Run it right across the front as neat as possible.
It's just confusing the hell out of me. I looked in my engine bay and saw countless wires that branch off to other accessories, and don't know what to replace or where to route wires.
the wire i was talking about the the positive going from the output of the battery to the postive terminal on the battery. i kno the grounds should be as short as they possibly can be.
Actually from an electrical engineering point of view the big ground to the chassis is a waste of wire since steel where you bolted it to is no way as conductive as the wire itself. You would be better off running Ground and Power wires to the alternator, and your amp which is where the load is created and not use chassis grounding for any power handling signals including the speaker leads at all. All amp related wires should connect at the amp ground and caps at the amp power input should also be used to supress current pulses.
