Default looking into the xb...

Hey guys/girls. I am an owner of a subaru wrx as of now. Due to outrageous gas prices and the amount of police and all around my area, I am freaked of driving my car. Its, loud, fast and it looks it too. I want to sell it asap to purchase a scion Xb. If anyone could tell me, who own the car, what the ups and downs "if any" on the car. And also the resale value on the Xb. Thanks in advance!

DONT BUY A SCION THEY ARE CRAP....hahaha gotcha . Man I traded in my wrangler for this lil box and couldnt be happier. I drive over 100 miles everyday to work and then do a ton of driving on the weekends (3200+ miles in 1 month). hmmm +/-'s well lets start off with all the stares and attention (positive and negative your call), low hp (-) but its geared to hell and back and feels quick, that gearing also puts you at about 4 grand doing 80mph in 5th but you still get good mileage. You have to push the stalk forward to turn on the high beams and pull it back to turn them off (I HATE THIS!!! it should be pull back to turn on, pull back to turn off). The seats are comfotable and supportive it handles great (quick and pretty tight for power steering). Some people get some rattles in the dash and elsewhere but they can usually be found and fixed. hmmmm stock stereo is pretty good. Oh yea great mileage. The shifter is a little clunky at times and the shift **** likes to rotate. Decent brakes, lots of head and leg room. The pedals are a little close together but the clutch and gas have real short 'throws'. Interior plastic scuffs easily. Tons of aftermarket support and dealer options (overpriced but you kno). I went in for a test drive and left my jeep on the lot and drove my polar white xB away. Only got one option, the spoiler i really recomend this one adds a lot to the rear of the vehicle. hmmmm I dunno I love my box (ha ha) wouldnt trade it for the anything (unless someone has a mitsu evo or a 360 moderna they want to part with). So yea I have driven a wrx and they are great too just different great you kno? wow long post ey' ? heh yea buy a box they are the best.

The wrx is a great car, dont get me wrong. I have done some work to it, it moves Alot! But it has also gotten me a wreckless driving and 2 speeding tickets 2 accidents...1 my fault....in 1 year. I need to kick it down a notch. But the subaru paint blows and I hate it, the shifter feels like poo and the tranny is too weak for the kinda power it has. Other than that, superb vehicle.

I did look at the Camo Scion xB. Wow, love it. How much did you guys pay that got the optional 18's, suspension package and leather 2 tone? This is what I am ultimately after. I can get parts for wayyyyy cheaper than what the dealer is asking!

i had wrx before, and i sold it for is300
then i traded my is300 for this toy box, and I don't regret it at all cause is300 and wrx are gasoline eater.
lucky me cause xB has a good gas milleage wayyyyy better than those two cars especially when the gas price is kinda crazy lately.

That's the way to go. Get your skins from Katzkin, wheels from WheelMax or eBay, and obviously suspension on eBay or from a site sponsor.

I know all about turbos eating gasoline, i'm trying to end my poor period by selling the gas "hog"

Hey guys thanks for the positive replies. I need to sell my wrx asap! I want a "toy box" so badly! I am looking to get 18 or maybe 19. The car has never seen a track. The mods I did were essential and made the car run so smooth. The body is molded and need a couple more hours of work. Other than that engine is beautiful and runs great, just cant afford gas anymore. Please help!

Did a test drive today. I was surprised how short the clutch is! The engine felt very smooth, shifting was a breeze. Didnt really check of the handling aspect of the vehicle, but I could imagine its pretty good in the curvies. I love the full Pioneer setup it comes with, very nice. I love it! And 38 mpg in the manual?! Who can beat that?!

Uhh, you don't get 38mpg, it's really closer to 28-32mpg.

The whole reason I got rid of my very modified 98 GTP and nitrous powered SHO. I couldn't be happier in my two boxes.

I am in the process of selling my 2003 Wrangler Rubicon for an Xb as well.....I am tired of the ride that the Jeep has and am hoping for a better ride and less breakage when I modify it. TTYL.......

Hi xxxbscion. Your WRX is a good car, but I think it's time to have an XB. And yes, with these gas prices, you are better off purchasing the XB. It is much better on gas and I find that it still has power even when the air conditioner is on! I also put in an Injen Intake on it, so if you wanted a little more pickup and better power going up hills, I recommend that. I'm glad you also test drove one. So, trade in your WRX and drive home with an XB! You will be spending much more money on gas with the WRX; you will be saving much more money with the XB and you can spend that saved money on hot wheels!!!

i'm another one that's looking to trade into a box.....i gotta get my wife what she wants first, then i'll trade in my 2000 F150.....the 5.4L V8 is killing me in gas right now. $37 to fill up right now, and i'm filling up 2 -3 times a week.

i'd shoot myself in the face....i went from good gas mileage (25-30) to awesome gas mileage (my wonderful box)

Shutterbug, definitely get rid of that F150. Gas prices are only getting higher and it will be very difficult to keep up with a pick up truck nowadays. Get a box! Tell your wife to get one too! HAHA!

OK, going from a wrx with approx. 280 hp to the wheels to a scion with lets say 90 to the wheels to be generious is a huge difference. I need to go for another test drive cuz all I was looking at on the 1st run was driveability, I didnt mosh the pedal or anything like on city streets, how is it? Does it get up and go? My parents are considering getting me one since they are dirt cheap, but they say I will get bored cuz of how I love to rip in the wrx.
