Default $300 to spend, which to buy?

I've got 300-400 bucks to spend on some upgrades.

Up for consideration and the prices I can get them for:

Weapon-R SRI($185-$200 including s+h)
Tsudo Fireball Exhaust($150 including s+h)
TRD Springs($145)
DC Sports Strut Bar ($100-$110)
Paint stock rims and calipers(not sure how much this would cost, help anyone?)

What should I get?

ive only heard bad things bout weapon r, go for injen uc an find a used injen for 200. iono bout the strut bar, i hear it hardly helps the suspension and its jus for lucks, get a sway for almost the sme price and ive heard it makes a large difference.

tsudo is good for the money but no gains at all or very minimal. go get the megan catback, 300 shiipped, but tht kills ur budget.

from ur list id id go: trd springs. 145 + tsudo exhaust, + injen cai= 500 bux + spring install unless u can do it yourself.

you can prolly paint ur rims and calipers for under 25 bucks. if u do it urself.

I wanna get an SRI cause I don't wanna have to worry about the engine getting hydrolocked.....that's my main concern with that....also, i heard the same thing about the metal shavings, but one guy said to just rinse it out real good and scrub it when you get it and it will be fine...thats what i was planning on....where can you get a sway kit that cheap? ive never seen one that cheap....i figured the springs, exhaust, and sri would do it....ill find some way to get the money...i really wanted the rims but i cant paint them myself....im rather artistically challenged lol

aem bypass valve, 40 dollars, u won have problems hydrolocking.

do u really wanna tke a chance on ur tc based on what a guy said. 2000 + worth of damage ain worth it IMO. and injen is more popular and trusted. theres a guy selling it for 200 shipped on clubsciontc.com

ive seen sway for 110 bux shipped but used. 133 at trd sparks new.

if u don hve the cash, go one mod at a time. don be like me, imma be droppin around a grand for catback, spipe, rims n tires this week. i hope i can get some decent money for my stockers to compensate me a lil.

dude...do not worry about hydrolocking i think only one guy in the universe has ever. it cannot happen unless you drive in a 3ft deep puddle for like one hour...its just doesnt happen because the water, if any gets in will evaporate by the time it hits the throttle body. dont listen to people who say CAI's cause hydrolocking. also you can still get the injen because it converts to SRI, and why would you want to get an intake which you have to clean the metal shavings out yourself(doesnt that tell you something about the company?)

blackonblack is right, its not easy to hydrolock the car, more realistically... if you drive through a foot of water for a few seconds, you may have a problem, but if its still a concern, get the Injen, and when its not raining, convert to CAI, and when it is raining, convert to short ram.

i definetely recommend TRD springs, or any drop for that matter. It will improve the looks and the handling of the car.

An exhaust... im not really a fan of loud exhaust, so i would recommend the TRD exhaust, but that may be out of your budget.

hmm, ive had to problem with the injen cai on my tc, and i drover through watters that went as high as my rockers at like 40 mph, and nothing ever happened. xcept for hydroplaning. There is a diff between us and other cars and that is that we have the plastic on the bottom and that prevents alot of stuff from getting in there. Car wash no problem, rain in january no prob. The water does evaporate pretty fast becuase the intake gets hot in our cars

having a CAI doesnt mean 100% that you're going to hydrolock when it rains.. BUT it is possible. my friend's civic hydrolocked (but he was a retard) he drove thru a huge puddle during deep raining .. i think 1.5 years ago or something.. blew up his motor.. haha

but my old car (94 celica gt) hydrolocked (kinda) and i didnt even run thru puddles. it was raining really hard one night in cerritos/artesia and all of a sudden my engine started to get all bubbly when i was driving on the road.. my car shook and i pulled over and had to wait for about 20 minutes while trying to start the car. i wait until all the water got out and it finally started again. i drove home w/o an intake.

i guess my point is.. it is POSSIBLE to get it hydrolocked and NO you dont have to drive thru a WALL of water, thats only one of the ways to get it hydrolocked. worse comes to worse.. let go of the gas when u drive thru the huge puddles/dips.

that and get a bypass valve.

i'm gonna get the weapon r intake and the cold air box. i'll post pics and stuff when i order them (mid march/early april). regardless of hearing that ONE incident of the weapon R ruining the engine. i perfer the short ram because i'm too lazy to switch back and forth (that and its easier to install)

anybody else have the weapon r intake? i'm pretty sure weapon R wouldnt continue selling their intakes if it ruins cars..

One option would be from the dealership, which is how I got mine, total cost including installation was $399.

Beyond that, if you do a search on this forum you'll find lots of links to other sources you could purchase the TRD springs from.

if you get springs, u would then have to pay for installation, which would break your budget. If i were you id get Ingals engine damper and intake

Does this bypass valve work wit the injen CAI? Can you post a link please to this bypass valve. Also You can get a hedro shelid for add protection. It's like a fabric cover the lets air in but not mositure.
