What has the dealership messed up for you?
Today was the day i was suppose to pick up my BSP 06 tC. Just as I was inches from getting the keys, the rep told me that when the car was running thru the wash that the passenger side mirror was hit. I was ____ed and didnt want to have the car anymore. Then again after waiting the length i have waited, i decided to just have it fixed.
Has the dealership ever done any one else wrong?

luckily, the dealership was very nice to me, and by that i mean there were no problems.
make sure the car is showroom condition before you pick it up. you want no problems or blemishes when you pick up the car.

mine had a huge deep scratch at the bottom right of the front bumper. happened when they were taking the car off the truck. they fixed it for me.
also they never told me the car was gonna include a 6-disc cd changer that i didnt really want. had to pay an extra $400 somthin for that

i love my dealership. I'm there all the time (im always seeming to need little odds and ends) and they've come to know that my car is always clean. Whenever they work on it, they always go the extra mile to make sure everything stays that way. They mechanics even go so far as to put on rubber gloves before they touch anything inside the car. I <3 my dealership :D
the toyota dealership here in the town I live is full of idiots that no nothing about the tC. I wish I could go to the dealership were we bought the car but its just to far to drive every time. the dealership here when I took my other car in for a simple oil change (not the tC ) took them forever to find my filter then they chipped my rim and made a slit in my tire getting it off the lift thing. freaking idiots.
did get the tire replaced but they wouldnt fix my rim..

I think not wanting the car anymore because of a damaged mirror is a bit dramatic... as long as they fix it is not like you will be having major mirror issues down the road...
Mine upset me when I bought the car.. they broke stuff on it installing some options, then broke other stuff when fixing the previous parts.. this went on for 5 or 6 visits. Since then I notice different people as well as a new service manager there and they have been very nice and seem to take care of people much better. The previous service manager I dealt with did not offer as much as an appology.. but maybe that attitude is why I dont see him there any longer
But, when that was going on, the person who sold me the car kept on them and got customer care involved. She got me some great deals on service and parts that really made up for it all in the long run. That along with the new people I have seen and talked with during the recall and my free oil changes have made me think alot more of that dealer. Bad service is a terrible thing, but when you see a place make changes to correct for it (making it up to the customer and getting some new people in place that seem to actually care about the customers) it makes a big difference.
The salesperson that took care of me has moved to another dealership, so if anyone is in Seattle and deals with Kelly I can say she does great at taking care of customers!

Had scratches on the center panel from the dealership changing out the radio. Now they want me to take it back to see if they caused it. Duh, if the scratches weren't there before you changed the radio and now they are there it's pretty obvious! This is the second time I have to take my car back for scratches on the interior after they had worked on it.
I've heard some horror stories of people having their rims damaged at different tire places so I decided to go to a Toyota/Scion dealer to have my wheels balanced and rotated just to be safe. I went on a Saturday and they didn't want to do it because their master tire person wasn't there so we scheduled an appointment for 8:00 am Monday.
My wife took the car for me so I could go to work. She called me at 11ish to let me know they still weren't done with the car and they'd done something to the wheel locks and had to replace them. She was there for almost 4 hours. Well it was dark when I came home and I was sick most of the rest of that week so I never looked at the rims. That Saturday when I washed the car I found gouges in the paint on one rim like someone was hacking at it with a screwdriver. The other rims had scratches all over where it obviously had slid on it's face (all the scratches went one direction). We took it back and they unhappily had them repaired. Later when I went to do my own tire rotation I figured out what probably happened to the wheel locks. The idiots didn't use anything to measure the torque on the lugs so they probably stripped them out. I didn't think I would ever get the lugs off and that's not good for aluminum rims.
I'm leaving the dealer's name out because they did fix the rims and I still have some association with them but I don't have any confidence in their service department.

not Scion related, but we had a tech at my old dealer that didn't put the lift on the drivers side under the car, so only the passenger side had lift points.......yea.......
flipped on its side, made the LOUDEST sound ive ever heard
spent 4months in the body shop
^^ Ihope that guy not only was fired but had his head checked... how could he not notice it right off? Lifts are not that fast, you think he would have noticed only one side was lifting before that happened

my dealer got my address wrong so i didnt get bill for like 2months and i was like wtf? so i called em and they were gonna get collections on my car. Luckily i paid my bill right there on the phone and it was all good. oh yea... they got my middle initial wrong to.
lets see waldorf toyota here in maryland left peanut shells in my car, forgot to give me hooks for my floor mats, screwed up my finance agreement, never offered me a option for leather seats (still ____ed about that one) ,damaged all 4 rims on my car then called me a liar until i presented them with pictures that i took of my car 1/2 hour after i left the dealer. see a pattern here...i have never been back there since...355 toyota and fitz are the best dealers for my car as far as i m concerned
