Hello all, new to this forum. My brother has an '04 xb and he wants to lower it but there is a catch. He wants it lower in the front than the rear, old school style. I told him his best bet, besides fully adjustable coilovers, would be to buy 2 sets of springs and use one set for the front and one set for the rear. Does this sound reasonable to you guys?

I mentioned that to him as well but he said he wanted it lower all around and a bit more in front. I am new to Scion suspension, is a camber kit required when lowering past a certain point, like 1 or 1.5"?

Thanks for that showpaojoe. Is that 1/2" difference noticable?

Tanabe also has the DF210 springs which is 2.2" front and 2" rear and even those are noticeable. You can get em at www.optauto.com for $156

I have that set-up. I have thought about putting stock springs back on in back because the back looks lower than front. If money were no object I would get another set springs for the front.

Thanks for the info. What do you think about having 2 different spring rates? Do you think the ride would be kind of funky?

I got the goldlines (2+2) and the H Techs (1.1 + 0.9)... I'm this ' ' close to putting the stocks on the hTech car's rear and the HTech rear on the goldline car's rear... DJ told me not to though. Anyway, ESP if you're going to be putting a system in the rear.. you need a taller spring to compress to level :)
