This IS wierd..
I'm in Davenport Iowa getting the BOX registered.. (got a house across the river -- cheaper there) some hometown buddies tell me there's a car show going on.. So I shoot on over. Being in IOWA, no one had seen this car yet, so -- as it was already clean, I obliged to show it off. What a reaction -- I got this ride as a COMMUTER vehicle, to free up my BMW and 3KGT "showcars" for shop work. I swear this car drew more attention than my 3series convertible! after many conversations with some local tuner shops and a few bikini pics later (cute gals by Iowa standards) I was forced to re-think my priorities with this vehicle.. so here I go again.. looks like I got another "project" on my hands.. I am still using it as a daily driver, though -- nomatter what

I went to an ad hoc car show (one of those in parking lots) and parked nearby. I had waxed the box (fun to say) ealroer that day, so it did look nice. Anyway, the BIGGEST crowd was arounf the xB. Even though we didn't even intend to "show" it . There were a lot of comments like "They should have at least taken out the water bottles"..

I agree that the xB is not well known in Iowa, but some of us have seen them before. I've been waiting to get my hands on one since they were released in California. There are several in Cedar Rapids already. I haven't seen a Hot Lava in person yet. Can't wait, yours looks real sweet. Must say those look like typical Davenport girls, not gonna call them typical Iowa girls though!

I'm A QC native, and I've seen my share of many "IOWA" girls.. IOWA City takes the cake (college chicks rule) with DesMoines-Ames a close second.. CR & D-port make up a distant 3rd with the "LOO" bringing up the rear with chicks SO ghetto, yould think you were on the SW side of CHi-town! Being from CR, you KNOW what the 'loo' is

We won't have our Box yet but I Just might try to make it down for the show anyway. My wife has family in Milan so if she doesn't want to come to the car show she can stay and visit them.

I worked at Eagle foods HQ office till they bit the bullet last year.. Sad to see a big employer like that go, huh.. I was there till the bitter end (Feb).
Anyways, hope they drink bottled water, 'cause Milan water SUCKS!

Being from Iowa, born in FD and schooled IC, I would say that Iowa Standards deserve more than that. I would put IC girls against any in the country. Natural beauty, not all plastic and make-up like Cali.
