Thats right guys and girls! Im the official driver of a Scion tC sponsered by Hank Aaron Scion/Toyota. This Summer we will have a massive meet up in McDonough, GA for ALL SCION MODELS!!! We highly encourage you to be there. Prizes, Free Food and Music will be available. Plus, the best looking Scion model (car of course but who know!!) will get a Grand Prize!!! More details will be given in the next few days Stay Tuned!! Also welcomed are all Customized Toyota vehicle since they are our sister company! Scinergy GA will bring a bunch of our cars down. Keep myself or (BOXROD) in the
loop so we can tell the rest of the club. We had 22 cars show up at the Varsity downtown
yesterday. We have at least one TRD supercharged TC and my Custom Blitz supercharged
xB. We have a lot of great stereos systems including one xA that can hit 149db. Boxrod
has a sweet xB that took Best in class at World of Wheels 2 weeks ago.

Just don't conflict with the Nationwide meet in Ames, Iowa on May 5,6,7.

UPDATE!!! At the moment we have chosen the date of Sat. June 24th 2006 at Hank Aaron Toyota/Scion on I-75 on McDonough, GA. Time will be from 9am til 5pm! We will then leave in a Convoy a ride North to Morrow to Hand out at AMC 24 Theater and Southlake Mall area. We will decide a more detailed plan within the next week!!! STAY TUNED!!!

OKay guys, we will be giving out awards for the followings area:

1st, 2nd and 3rd place for each model. ( xA, xB and tC)
1 award for Best Sound System.
1 Award for Best Engine Bay Modifications
and 1 Grand Prize for Overall Show Winner!

The Grand Prize winner will get a special gift! Also, like most car competitions, the Grand Prize winner has to be any of the previous award winners. One radom winner will also be selected for a gift for customer appreciation!

Also you must have a Scion to be eligible for any of the Trophy awards!!!

The show will be between 9:30 am and 5:00pm. Awards will be given at 4 til 5pm. This should give everyone ample time to show up and setup their cars. Judges will began their sweep at 3pm at the moment but this will be based on the number of entries we receive here and at the dealership!!

Its about an 1 1/5 hours from Gainesville. Heres quick directions:
Take I-85S to I-285S which turms to I-285W. Then exit to I-675S. This will eventually turn to I-75S. Look for Hank Aaron Toyota/Scion at Exit 218

Alabama Directions:

Take I-20 East to GA, Once in GA Exit onto I-285 S to Macon, next the Interstate will split at I-285E and I-85S, stay in far left lane and go I-285E, Next look for the I-75S exit towards Macon, exit and continue South on I-75 until you see Hank Aaron Toyota/Scion sign Exit #218. Turn right onto Hwy20 and make another right at light onto Hwy81. You will see Hank Aaron Toyota/Scion entrance on your right!

Oh, your in Auburn! Just take I-85 North to Newnan, GA exit on the Newnan, Griffin exit which is GA Hwy16! Take GA Hwy 16 East thru Griffin to I-75. Merge on I-75 North and proceed North to McDonough, GA exit 218. Turn Left onto GA Hwy20 and make a Right at first light onto GA Hwy81. The dealership is on your right!

or

Just take I-85 North to I-285 East to I-75 South to exit 218 turn right onto GA Hwy20 then another right at first redlight onto GA Hwy81. Dealership on right. The whole trip should take you about 2 1/2 hours!

Okay, Guys! I just had my final meeting before the show in 4 WEEKS!!! We are all go! This show is going to be the biggest one of all Scion shows so please plan to be there! We have alot of excellent prizes to give away via raffle. Stay tuned to hear our radio shot on your local stations and look for us in you newspaper.! We are determined to make this the best show this summer. Great details have been considered in marketing this day and a lot of people are working hard to ensure a great show! Also, all those who are interested in going to the AMC Theater after the show for a movie please respond!! Im also working on getting discounts and permission to have the front entrance lot reserved for us before and during the movie! If you interested let me know!!!

The movie could be fun, but must be appropriate for kids I suppose. I will most likely

Man am I glad I found this thread. It's good to see a fellow Griffinite on the forum finally. I will definitely be at the meet, I love that dealership, best car buying experience I've ever had. Although I don't think I'll show, pretty much the only upgrades I have is a cd player and a console, don't think I'm up for the competition. what time is da meet/show?

From 9am to 5pm. This allow time for yo to clean your car for the show and allow those coming from South & North GA, Ala, SC and FL to get here in time for the judging which will commence at 4:00pm. The raffle will be immediatel after that!

And you think ours don't. Heck, even Boxrod has dings and chips in it. All Scions
have rock chips so that make us equal in that regard.

Wash it, wax it and polish it and it will look nice. so come on out.

Yeah, these aren't trailer queens, they're just our cars. I drive 60 miles a day, and it shows, but come out anyways.

Hey itsme, shine up that box and bring it on over there. I'm bringing mine, a fully stock polar white with battle wounds from GA 400 all over the nose. I'll check out everyone else's mods, I'll be there for the fun and fellowship.

wash the car

go to Walmart and buy the turtle wax "ICE" wax and speed detailer and some microfiber
polishing towels.

wash the car again

dry the car well.

use the damp drying rags to wipe the door sills and inside the hood.

follow the directions on the wax.

only do small areas at a time.

wax on

(we really need to do a detailing class at the dealership)

I'm gonna add a bit to Baine's post:

It seems that nobody on the South knows what a claybar is. It took some time for me to even find locations of auto chains that stocked them. Claybarring your car should be done in the washing cycle to remove any old wax/tar/pollen/minerals on your clearcoat. You should claybar your car at least once every 12 months. I try to every 3 months personally, and it takes about 8 hours, but I'm anal. A claybarred car should feel almost identical to a waxed car to the touch. Then, you apply wax to the clean finish. Some waxes require you to apply it in the shade, while newer synthetics can be used in the sun or shade...

That is the proper way to care for your paint.

Okay Guys and Gals!!! This is going to be a HUGE EVENT!! I had another meeting today and Hank Aaron marketing dept want to make this the BIGGEST event EVER. I have been informed that we will have A LOT! I MEAN A LOT of Awards, Gifts and Raffled item! I have seen a few of them and I must say they exceed what "ANY" dealership every gave away. Plus, some local vendors are also joining in the activities with prizes and give aways. YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS!!! Hope to see everyone there! We want at "LEAST 50 Scions" no matter what.
