Anyone had this problem? I searched and searched and all I could find was the sunroof rattling itself. It only rattles when the visor is open (exposing the sunroof) but stops when it it closed. And I gotta say, with all the rattles that the tC has accumulated, I give the sunroof visor the "Most Annoying Rattle" and the "Most Loudest Rattle" award. I'm taking it in to the dealer on Friday plus to get my handbrake adjust. It is so annoying to the point where I just want the rip the damn thing out of there.

 

hey 7thgear.. there was a tsb but it applies for 05's before vin production 36999 so your 06 wouldn't apply since they're using the new washer.. Okay here's the trick, get some silicone spray and spray the pivot points on the wind deflector (couple in the front, then the ones for the arms that lift it).. that should stop it for you.. try it and let us know.. use the extension wand too, keeps the silcone from spraying all over the car..

 

What i meant by sunroof visor is the plastic thing that covers the sunroof not the wind deflector.

 

I've got the same issue, it's so loud cuz it's right over you head. mine comes from the left/forward most portion of the plastic, I've been meaning to take care of it but I'm just too lazy

I would still say you could spray some lubricant on the plastic where it glides back and forth so get rid of rattle.

come to think of it, it may or may not be the sunroof visor rattling, but the sunroof itself now. i'll just take it into the dealer someday along with a printed version of a topic from this forum saying that there IS a rattle.
