Default New fog covers

Well i was bored so i decided to make some new fog covers. Mainly did it for looks and to help as a cold air inlet ( not as an intake or a ram intake) for my short ram intake. I drove with the drivers side cover off for a few weeks to see if it would do anything and it was peppeyer between 5 and 6 grand. But i got a pair of BCP fog covers off another member of scionlife( thanks to him) and bought the middle factory grill from toyota $32. Cut the fog covers and cut the grill and glued the grill into the cover. I still have my factory fog covers if i ever want to put them back in, for any reason. Tell me what you think, and please dont flame me to bad. Oh and some of the pics are a little hard to see thanks to Florida sun shine.

I like the creativity but not the finished product. The middle honeycomb grill looks like it's been extended. But whatever floats your boat.

Im glad you said that Stick, because i have seen a lot of diffrent things done to our xB's, some are really ugly and some are awsome, but it all comes down to personalization for your ride.Isnt that what scion wanted us to do, it dosent matter what everybody else thinks just what you think. If you like the way your car looks then thats all that matters. Thanks for your feedback Stick i appreciate it. Did you ever get your question about the tailight answered? I wish i could have helped with an answer but you know way more than i do on this site.

Scion is all about creativity, individuality, and personalization. A lot of people had done a lot of things including myself to do that. I like your creativity with the fog covers, believe it or not, I played around with my covers awhile back with mesh and even putting a functional 4runner fog lights behind the cover.

SL is a forum and you asked what people think about your creation and I gave you my $0.02. I hope you don't take it the wrong way, I'm giving you my input.

As for the tailight question, I already got the part# for it an hour after I inquired on here. Cheers.

I applaud the effort and creativity but it doesn't strike me. I think it's because the foglight holes are on the same plane and the same height as the upper grill but your inserts look compressed. It doesn't have a uniform look all the way across the front. If you could make an insert that was the full height of the opening, I think it would really pop!

I think that those covers look really cool i would do that if i didn't already have an aluminum grill. i may call the company that made my grill and see if they could make a fog light insert out of the same billet aluminum as my grill

Nice creativity. I'd recomment painting the cut edges to clean it up a bit. Otherwise, I like it.
