How many folks have actually gotten their cars out on road courses. I'd like to compare notes, maybe talk about important mods. I know sdparks has gotten out at Texas World Speedway. Any one else done anything similar?

My main point of interest is the fuel cutting out under heavy turns down around 3/8's of a tank. Does anyone have any solutions to the problem??

I have been told that while autocrossing, keep your tank full. Yes, it heavier, but if you have half a tank of gas and are going through tight turns, the motion of the gas will shift the weight in your car when you don't want it to when it sloshes back and forth. Not sure about the fuel cut out problem though.

I've had my fuel cut out on me while doing a couple runs at an autox event. Never again will I go with anything less than a half tank. Luckily I was able to use my off time to go to the gas station.

good info.. last year at a few auto-x's i tried having less gas in the tank for weight reduction and the car didn't like me...
glad to know i'm not the only one that had such issues...

otherwise.. no road courseing for this tC yet...

I've heard similar things about the "slosh effect" in other cars too. I alway autox with about a 3/4 tank for that reason.

I'll be doing a track day at Watkins Glenn on May 8. The only htings I'm doing to the car before then is to swap out (at least) the front pads—I'm putting Ferodo DS2500s on. Also changing out the fluid so I don't cook that off. If I come into a bit of money between now and then I'll do something with the suspension—bigger RSB or better dampers.

Otherwise the PDA is just a learning experience, not going to bother doing any tuning—maybe tweak the tire pressures a bit.

I'll start the day with a full tank of gas because The Glenn doesn't have 87 in pumps...and if you run out of gas on the track your day is over....I'm not risking that.

You'll probably need to fill up again during the day man... well... maybe not. It'll be close. I usually have to fill up after 4 15 min sessions

I didn't have the fuel cut-out problem; I never let the tank get below 1/3 though.

I had put on axxis ultimates on the front and that helped reduce some fade...

The one thing I really wished was different about the TC on the track was that it was louder. The car is too quiet, and w/ the helmet on, I can't hear what the engine's doing and there's not always a lot of time to look at the tach...

This was at Willow Springs (big track)

Any intake or exhaust noise you get will promptly alleviate that problem.

i've also had the fuel cut off problem and I was 1/4 tank under hair cornering in autox or just out driving the fuel would cut off

I autocross on 1/4 tank and it does not throw me around. Smaller movements but more weight can cause more force I think. I have had no sterring issues @ 1/4 tank it handles awesome.
