I did some searching (OMG!) and I can't seem to find a thread showing how to put a deck behind the factory cover in the oven area. I'd really like to mount my deck there so prying eyes are none the wiser. Anyone have any help they can offer? Mark

 

ATM I can tell you this .. it is possible, they do fit, however depending on the model radio you may or may not have to modify the inner door a bit to get it to clear any type of pertruding ****. I have a Apline 9860 mounted in there, I'll get pics out to the public eventually..

 

If nothing else, there is a spondsored seller that sells a conversion for the oven... But I do believe theirs doesnt have the door anymore.

 

It can be done, but you will more than likely have to cut the back out of the pocket to allow the door to still close. Just take it out of the car when you do. The whole thing comes apart pretty easily by just removing a couple srews under the AC ***** and pulling it apart. (Pull from the bottom first, it will be a little scary the first time yo do it, but it will be all good) Also make sure there is enough room behind it for your radio to fit. There is an air duct directly behind the pocket about an inch or two forward of it.

Good idea and I think I have seen someone on here doing something similar. My 2 Cents is a detachable face and dont show it off. Also 95% of the time you get broke into its your so called "friends" who are the culprits. They know its there and know when to get it!
