View Full Version : OK OK I haven't even got my XB yet but have spent 2k on it!
Hardhitten 11-04-2003, 11:34 PM I ordered my XB on oct 31 and have already spent about 2k on it already... Theres so much more I want too lol... Rims and tires $1,600 Limited 507 18in with nitto 215/35/18. Also ordered Goldline springs $150, and Injen cold air intake 160 plus 160 to install both. Im not even finished yet I still want the brace for up front, and som exaust. Havent figured out what exaust to put on yet though. I ordered my xb from Dublin Toyota and I say im SUPPOST to have it no later than 11-14-04. Well we shall see..
where did you order your goldline springs from?
Hardhitten 11-04-2003, 11:58 PM www.modacar.com $149 Pretty good deal from what I could dig up, there in Livermore Ca .
showpaojoe 11-05-2003, 12:02 AM Install it yourself and with a friend, save $160. The springs are easy enough and you could find the install how-to in the tech section. Many people did it themselves with that guide. If you don't think you could do the intake, find a cheaper place. It only took me an hour and 10min, which I'm very proud of, to install the aem one and I don't know jack about engines. Is it toyota that's charging $160?

hmm...can't locate Goldline springs on the website for scion xB...found only eibach and sprint...?
Hardhitten 11-05-2003, 12:04 AM na its the place im buying them from and its $160 to install both i think springs is like 100 and 60 for the intake.. Trust me I am not good with cars at all. I would just mess it up or get ____ed or both most likely so im stuck paying.
Hardhitten 11-05-2003, 12:05 AM Ya they dont have them on the web site but if you call they carry the stuff for the scion. Adam helped me on the phone good guy.
scionara 11-05-2003, 12:45 AM It's amazing how things add up when it comes to spending money on our Scions.
Some NorCal Scion owners had theirs lowered for $50 bucks and as for Injen Air Intake, someone from Tracy can help you with the install...
izzles 11-05-2003, 12:49 AM Yeah there is more to come on the web site ..most of the guys are in Vegas so its just a matter of time before its updated...if its not on the site trust me they can get the price....
yeah on the injen inatke honestly i did it and my mechanical skill is limited at best. save the money buy a strut bar or something.

Hardhitten 11-08-2003, 04:21 PM Well now I hear by next Friday hopefully .... Jeeeez
Docofmind 11-08-2003, 04:50 PM Ive got you beat :P
I ve got seats, harnesses, wilwood big brake kit, 18" wheels wrapped in Toyos and a whole assortment of interior and engine dress up pieces. Way too much crap if you ask me. Its taking up an entire corner of my shop and becoming a major pain in the ___.
Suppossedly my car may come in today, but i m not holding my breathe
Hardhitten 11-08-2003, 07:04 PM Good luck with your car.. And yeah you do got alot of stuff.. I dont understand the brakes though, from what I know these have great brakes. let me know whats up with brakes.
TheRedBox 11-13-2003, 10:30 PM If the brakes are becoming a pain in the ___, you can always next day air them my way. Im sure they will find a nice boxy home.
Docofmind 11-13-2003, 11:53 PM HardHitten, first of all, there is no such thig as too much brake. :)
While the brake s on the Scion are descent, they are absolutely tiny. Im running 18" wheels and they look idiotic. Just like all those stupid SUVs that sport 24s and have 10" discs.
2 things, when you add big wheels, the braking distance greatly increases. MOst people dont realize this.
Second thing is, I work for Wilwood, well, not for them per say, but they in a way, send me cars to build brake s for them. A few of the cars at SEMA this year were done by me :)
