Default My baby is sitting in Portland!!!

My dealership emailed me the VIN and said that my xB is sitting in Portland getting prepped to be put on a train to Chicago. My dealer is telling me the office release date in the Midwest is June 16th. Does anyone have any more info on this. I thought it was suppose to be June 4th??? What up with that???

Yeah, I am in Portland and not that far away from the main Toyota port. I should roll be and try to snap a shot of the Scions getting unloaded from the ship!

Pics of Scions rolling off the boat would be cool!

My dealer did say that there are rumors of the date being pushed up to early or mid June.

It is definitely an 05. That is what the pruchase order shows. If it is not, I am not taking it. Is there a way to know from the VIN number?

When I talked to the guy at Butler Toyota and Scion in Indy, he said they pushed forward the midwest release and were taking orders at the beginning of May. Do you think this means they've pushed forward ORDERING but you'll probably have to wait longer on delivery? He said demand was thru the roof (and after driving the tester, I can tell why).
I was totally impressed on my test drive (even though it was an automatic ), can't wait to move out to Washington, start a job, and order one for myself.

My dealer said June 16th could be the new date, only because the cars are already here, well Portland!

Is there anyway to tell what model year you are getting from the VIN?

It may also tell you that you box is powered by a Toyota 4.7L V8 engine (from the Landcruiser)

Yeah, I remember my long wait. Literally couldnt sleep until the very night I took delivery of the Box.
