I'm just curious on who is staying where. Also want to know where good car washes are near where the show will be. We like to wash them ourselves, plus I have the projectors that fog, and an autowash would be really bad lol.

I got a room for my buddy and me in Des Moines at the Holiday In. It was the last hotel that still has rooms. Only downside is its approximatley 30 miles south of Aimes.

Anyone else going to be at the Des Moines Holiday In? Is it in a ok area??

One of the reasons why I choose the Holiday Inn was that it is close to a car wash. The hotel staff says it's a couple blocks down and they have underground parking so we should have plenty of room. I realize it's 30 minutes away but Sat night the group will be in Des Moines downtown celebrating. So for Sat night we are set.

can't wait to meet everyone.

I will be setting up a deal with a local do it yourself AND automatic touchless car wash here in Ames that is less than 5 miles from the show.

In addition, there is an automatic touchless wash that is pretty damn good attached to a BP gas station about a mile from the dealership.

I do have one room in Ames that opened up since somebody cancelled. It's a double for both nights. If somebody wants it, let me know!

With the prices I'm finding even in Boone,Ia (65 bucks a night) I think I'll be campnig out in the dealership parking lot. I'm doing this meet on the cheap because I'm lucky my wife is even letting me go in the first place.

LOL....I'm camping at a camp ground. My dad is pulling the camper behind his truck and I'm driving my Toaster.
