No, but I'll give you a free bump, because I'm interested as well. I'm wondering if you need a harness bar or if people are running them from the hard points in the back seats.

I would just be using it to keep me in place at auto-x. I know they aren't exactally safe for highway use. I'd use the three point belt for normal street driving.

got my harness from Megan Racing, but i also bought there seat
just waiting for my bracket to be made

have street roll bar on the way, in the mean time i had to use different loop bolts to hold the harness odwn in the back, the ones they sent did not fit

tomago, how much did you spend on the seats and harness? Do the seats allow you to keep the factory 3pt for normal street driving? Is a bar necessary to mount 4 (or 5) pt harnesses? I'd hate to lose my rear seat.

the seats allow use of 3pt harness (stock) i paid (cant tell you what i paid for the seats, long time ago) around $80n for the harness, built a harness bar myself, so free.. expect to spend between $110 for harnesses (G-force camlocks are around that) and upwards of $500 for the crazy pimp harnesses.

SFI or FIA approved bucket seats start at around $220 and go up from there. brackets.. well, hot sure bout the tC people, but i didn't like the stupid brackets for the xA/B so i built my own, TIG welded aluminum..

I have G-Force 5 point 3" harnesses with Schroth racing 3" pads, excellent setup, very comfortable for daily driving and awesome on the track, harnesses were about 85 each i believe from Summitt. HTH

I'm no expert, but from what I've heard, harnesses can be extremely dangerous without a proper roll bar/cage. Modern safety belts are more than adequate for street and light track use. It's only for extreme motorsports like road racing/rally etc. that harnesses are really necessary. If not setup properly they can do much more damage than good in an accident.

yes yes, however, harnesses make you SECONDS faster in a normal autoX..

i'm proof :)

Now here's a dumb question - I would like to have the harnesses with the stock seats... Am I going to be able to get away with that, or is that a big NO-NO? I don't want to modify my stock seats, or completely get rid of them. I saw a 4-point set on FastScions.com and thought those were pretty cool...

One of the tC drivers at our autoxes runs a g-force 4 point with the long straps. The bottom straps are bolted into the two OEM belt points on the floor and the top straps are crossed and attached to the LATCH points on the back seat.
