Default new xb door panels

I just really f**ked up my door panels (fronts).
New factory panels are pretty expensive.

Does anyone know where the best price is for this type of thing,
or will all OEM dealers be the same price.

What about salvage yards? Is it possible to find door panels this way,
I called around real quick in the Dallas area, no luck so far.

And finally, Does anyone make custom door panels?

www.carparts.com check local yards for complete door panel replacements. Should not cost that much.

Yes, I'd like to know what he did that isn't reversible. He either peeled off the cloth material or f'd up the speaker hole.

Default No pics, but I'll tell you what I did

I have been putting in a car computer,
using a 7" lilliput flat panel, I have replaced the head unit.
The computer is in a AudioFormz amp rack painted polar white.
I am also using the AudioFormz sub enclosure with a Polk Momo 10"
and MTX 311d. I have 3 other MTX 282 amps, 2 window mounted.
All that crap is working good and coming together.

I have tried many different front speaker combinations.
The one below sounds the best to me. (By combinations, I also mean
unsuccessful attempts at making the door panel accept my lunacy.)
You guys ever build a model when you were a kid, the realize that it is
such crap you can't stand to look at it? That is my door panel ;-)

I have successfully built some decent kick pods with Focal 5.25s
In an effort to gain more mid bass, I cut the door panel out to fit
an 8" Kicker free air midbass speaker. Sounds great, looks like hell.

Sooo, in an attempt to tidy things up, me and my trusty body saw got
carried away. I have cut way to close to the mounting edges and have used
rigid plastic filler, cloth with resin, fiberglass, and the kitchen sink to try
and shape the lower corner of the door back to something that looks reasonable.

I think I would rather go back to a 6.5 Kicker midbass, hide it behind a stock door panel. because my mess looks really tacky. I am out of town right now so no
pics, Sorry!

Oh, btw, thanks for all of your comments. I could really use the help.

Default car-part.com

I didn't have any luck finding door panels on car-part.com.
I have a request in that I did yesterday, no replies yet

I guess if you find places that have doors they should have the panels also. May have to email or call them for details.

salvage yard is the cheapest way to get it. but not the fastest. You have to widen your seach place not just Dallas area. contact some of your salvage yard, if they don't have it make a reservation, sooner or later there'll be a wreck xB. be patient.

Yes, True/\/\/\ Look nation wide. Most of the yards that are part of car-parts.com will ship the panels to you. They are out there for the taking.

Thanks for all of your help, I finally located a pair in Houston.
$125 each, beats the hell out of $300....
I did as was suggested, and started calling places from car-part.com that had doors listed (panels were not really a search option).

Thanks again!
