Default Stock 17's and winter = ?

I tried a search and manually went through the pages and found similar posts but not what I would call a good answer. I just bought my TC a month or so ago and I live in Southern MI. Will the stock 17's do fine for me in the winter or do I need to purchase winter tires before next winter? Any help would be great. Thanks.

You should be fine. If you just bought it, there should be no worries. Maybe next winter, consider snow tires. But you'd just have to evaluate the current tires when the time comes.

Thanks ack154. I appreciate the reply. Hopefully I wont have to buy snow tires. It's not that I can't afford it, I have no place to store the extra tires.

I so would not trust the stock tires in the winter.. They perform bad enough already in the rain. You can compromise and get a good set of all-season tires, like my Avon Tech M550's.
