Default New prob with #980 getting funny now!

I dont want to get off on a rant here but
First my window gets broken out.
Second my insurance company gives me the run around.
Third (this is the best one) no back glass from scion til june 23.
Forth im paying for a car i cant drive.
Fifth my second car 1970 Monte Carlo gets 9 miles a gallon and I have to drive 70 miles a day.
now i gotta get a rent a car
Any one planning to break out their back window dont its a month back order.

you say that like it's a joke, but I once broke out my own back window.. slamed the hatch closed so hard on my 87 nova that the glass just caved in. Sucked, cost much $$$ to get it fixed, but at least it was not a 2 month wait!

could you use a plexiglas panel in your car until the glass is available? You should be able to take a big sheet of paper and trace the other side, add 1/4" (+/- part that goes in rubber moulding) and get it cut out of plexiglas. They even make smoke plexi. It would be cheaper than waiting with no box. Decorate with bumperstikers and take out when glass comes in.

Yeah, I ran a plexiglas window in my Echo for about 18 months. Use some pipe insulating foam as a gasket if you don't have the original. Most people didn't notice until they got real close.

A sheet of plexi, some gasketing and a Dremel. It'd cost you less than a week in a rental...

Go with the plexiglass option if you can, most stores like Home Depot will cut the sheet to size and leave you to round out the corners only. You can go with plastic bag, but that's like hiring a crack ***** to go to your parent-teacher conference with-just doesn't look good!
