Default powerslot big brake conversion kit

I hope I put this in the right section......
anways after much research and debate, I decided to instal a powerslot 13.5 inch conversion kit in the front. It took about 2 hours to install, considering i installed SSbrake lines and changed the fluid to synthetic.
Also I upgraded the pads to some axxis metal master pads, anyways it stops much better and the pedal responce is far better, I dont track my car so I did not see the need for a full 4 pot conversion. But with 19's I felt the standard brake set up was too sloppy.
Also it looks really nice it definatly fills up the rim as you can see.........
total mod cost about 700.00

If you dont have anything postive to say, keep it to yourself.........

is 13.5" the standard rotor size for the powerslot plus rotor upgrade? i thought it was 12.8" (then again, my memory isnt the greatest :D). I've been wanting a larger rotor to go behind my wheels. The stocker just looks so small behind 5 spoke 18's.

they used to have cross drilled when AEM was marketing them, there is a guy on here that is parting out his Tc and has them for 350 for the kit.

here is the link to his thread......

they are not BS questions......
i have 18x8 advans, i have never tried to put it behind a stock wheel, but it will fit...all you are doing is moving out the caliper about 2 inches.

the picture of the rims is not current......
this is the current image

Looks like the rotors are on backwards....the gooves usually point forward.

Rotor slot direction is not an issue if they use a straight vein rotor. If the rotor has directional internal veins the slots should be in the opposite direction to maintain maximum rotor strength. Im pretty sure the Powerslot rotors are straight vein rotors which means there is no "correct" way for the slots to face.

Looks to me like they are curved veined and in that case I am wrong. There is a certain direction curved veined rotors should be installed, and in that case he does have them installed correctly.

So why does Foose and Bear install there straight veined rotors that way then?

they look good. I too want to upgrade the braking system. Seems like the OEM just isnt adequit enough....

so these are just OEM replacements right? Not neccessarily BIG BRAKE KIT? I think if i am not mistaken even w/ the BIG BRAKE kit version all you need minimum is 17" wheels or larger. If you clear the caliper fromt eh wheels even by 2 cm....that is more than enough space. Object is No rubbing at all thats all.

Its not a true big brake kit...just a rotor upgrade with move out brackets for the stock calipers. You dont get the benefits of a big brake kit likse stiffer calipers, better pad selection, or increased heat capacity due to a larger pad.
