Okay, so i was at my friends house who lives an hour away, then when i was leaving i get in the car and start it as usual. When i turn on my headlights something weird happens. For some reason they are REALLY REALLY bright. A first i thought my highs were on but after a couple seconds both headlights blew at the same time. I thought it was a fuse that blew but when i checked both bulbs were bad. Now my question is WTF happened? I put my stock lights back in and they have been working fine for a couple of weeks now. The bulbs i had before were not some cheapo brand lights either. They were Koito Whitebeams and they were on my car for almost a year now.

Bulbs just blow sometimes... sucks that both at the same time... but it happens.

bulbs dont get brighter before they blow. when a bulb usually blows its from some kind of surge (turning them on) or contact (jarring them). whatever caused them to burn brighter killed them. i have no idea what could have done it though.

must've been aliens.
... jk, perhaps something caused them to get hotter and hotter prematurely?
