Default I just got a 2005 xb!!

I've been reading on the forums for some time now and I just now got my xb. It's polar white and is a 2005. I didn't even know it was 05 till I was signing papers. Then I noticed it says mp3 on my stereo and I think that's an 05 thing? Now the modding can begin!

Yeap 04 has MP3 too

The only difference I know of right now is that on the 05 you can change the SCION greeting on the headunit.

Congrats.

Dealer told me '05 is the same as '04, $30 more for delivery charge to get in line with other Toyota cars. Major difference IMO is higher resale value down the road of course due to "age". Too bad Scion doesn't have as many incentives (based on fixed price?) to counter that.

Dang, people spending $15K on a car and they aren't even sure what model year they are buying? I have this prime bottomland in Florida I'd like to sell you!

The tenth digit of the VIN gives the model year, 4 for 2004, 5 for 2005.

Toyota/ Lexus/ now Scion do not offer big incentives compared to other manufacturers. Incentives lowers the resale value of the car/Box in this case. Same case with Honda/Acura. And that's why my '01 Camry 4-banger had close to 50K, a few dents, and I still got $10K for it (went through CarMax).

I have an 04--and you are in long beach.

I will pay you 100 dollars for you to come to my house and change the greeting on my 04 head unit.

If you can't however, you will pay me 50.

Deal?

Considering the number of xAs sitting at our local dealer, I wouldn't be surprised if there is some sort of "incentive" on this model as we get closer to the 2005 model year. If you're in the market for an xA, it might be a good idea to sit on your wallet for a couple of months to see what happens.

Honestly I didn't know there where any 05's yet so I assumed it was an 04 but it is an 05. here's the owners manual.
